WOT jobs are recorded as stats on the website.
WOT jobs have real world delivery deadlines (ie 18 real hours), standard jobs have in game hour delivery deadlines.
WOT jobs are required for WOT events.
So no save-game load to make something undone.
The real benefit is the real time clock. You have plenty of time for sightseeing and explore the map ... :)
That is true. I just wonder why not all jobs count in your WOT statistics?
You can play the game completely offline if you want.
It's just an additional service you CAN use but you don't have to to enjoy the game.
WOT jobs wont work properly on modded maps.
There are tons of mods for nodamage, whatever, so people can drive like crazy from A to B.
Do you really want all this crap to be counted on WOT?
Probably not.
Well - that was not really my point. But when you put it like that.... :-D
I just think one type of job would be nice. But I did not consider all the maniacs, mods etc. :-)
This gives more variety both cargo-wise and destination-wise.
For example, right now I have 99 External Contracts (20 pages) and 15 off-line jobs in Freight Market from my current city.
Well - that settles it. Signing up. Thanks for all the feedback. :-)
the last message on here i read yesterday was you saying you was quitting....again !
All the testing I've done for a long time now and the info I found yesterday on the SCS Forum has made it clear to me, that ETS2 in its current state will not be able to meet, what I consider to be a good experience. And since I now have a technical explanation for the issues I have had with the game it's better for me to give the game a long rest. I might drop by again sometime in the future. I can always monitor this forum and the SCS forum to keep up with, how the game evolves. But yes - no more virtual trucking for me. I have signed up for WW2, racing, city building and other virtual activities.
As with many other things in life - it’s a matter of personal preference.
I want one thing - others want something else. And that is just fine. The game does not deliver in terms of what is important to me. So I have moved on to other titles.
I will say this - after having spend over 1800 hours with ETS2 - graphics and the feel of the game has become more important than driving itself. The driving part is just another day at the office because of the long experience. And ETS2 has beautiful scenery especially in the new DLC’s and reworked Germany. But if the cost of improved graphics with a stable frame rate is going low on fps then that’s just not right for me. I can easily see a big difference between 60 and 100 or more fps. And it ruins the experience for me.
So - it’s all good - it’s my decision and I’m fine with that.
Hopefully the future holds many great things for ETS2 - to me the game is just not there yet.
I will most certainly keep an eye on what is going on in the world of ETS2 - and maybe I will try out the game again sometime in the future.
