expand your possibilities by checking :
- Quick Jobs/Freight Market (for the whole map, Quick Travel if needed)
- External Contracts (WoT required)
- both cargo markets (local, WoT) while equipped with a proper trailer
advance in-game time by :
- sleeping, up to 3 times in a row (then reload if you want)
- taking a ferry forth and back (even a short one would be fine)
- swap truck with your working hired drivers (if you don't mind to mess around) ^^'
- developer console (not my bread, don't ask me how) : /
My favourite way is to check Quick Jobs every in-game hour while doing an External Contract. When the right job spawns, I then suspend my current WoT job, take and complete the one I need from Quick Jobs, resume the WoT one and continue it.
This way you won't miss any job at all, as there are some short ones that spawn and expire while you are on a different, but long, assignment.
The supplies for quarries are almost always contractor material, and therefore the purchase of a lowbed or lowloader trailer will increase the chance of finding a job to be delivered for the last quarry.
- And yes, it is highly probable that it is the quarry near Oslo that @OP needs to deliver to, as jobs for this particular quarry are very rare.
As @kaki_gamet mentions, with free flying cam and teleportation from the developer console you can jump to any place on the map.
- However, you can not teleport while working on a WoT job.
This video shows both how to enable dev console and how to teleport:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSMecKfmubo&t=11s
Note that since that video was made, the teleport key has been changed to CTRL+F9
If CTRL+F9 doesn't work for you and you have a FN key then try FN+CTRL+F9.
Before it was changed, it was the case that the acceptance time for a job could have expired when you arrived with quick travel.
- Is it still like that?
If not, should not your drivers make money for you while using quick travel?
In addition: Quick travel is now covered by travel costs, and can only be used for the garages you own.
Teleport can be used to anywhere on the map without time lapse and it is free. :)
In addition, there are also other benefits to using a free flying cam, e.g. explore the parking options at a company if you can not see these from the company driveway.
- And then there are also a lot of other things you can do with the dev console. :)
1) The one you have directly on main menu teleport you to any discovered city where a workshop is available, but your truck must be in almost top conditions. This will costs you money but doesn't advance time.
If your truck is damaged, then you can only use tow to service from in-game world, but this one will teleport you to the nearest workshop, charge you money, consume time either.
2) And then there is the second (quick) Travel, that is from Garage Manager. This time your destination can be only a garage that you own. Again will costs you money and won't advance time.
Personally I never used devs camera but I can understand its innate comfyness ; )
-go to a garage you have, your main garage if you like
-enter the garage and turn off the engine. Now you can rest there, but not quite yet.
-save the game at this point
- go back to your garage and hit ENTER key to rest
-after you rest check the jobs freight if you have any deliveries to Oslo MS Stein
-you can rest up to 3 times, and each time check the jobs market for what you seek
-if nothing convenient shows up, load the saved game before taking the 3 rest stages.
-repeat resting and loading until a route to Oslo MS Stein, that you like, shouws in the jobs market
Good Luck !
