I think the normal jobs from the market gives better payout.
if you need to exp to level up i will suggest doing normal jobs (for instance: fragile/ADR) because they give more exp
Trailer mods work with the contract jobs but at this moment in time they seem to be mainly box and frigo trailers so it's not as monotonous as using the default trailers.
The next step SCS is going to take with the contracts system is implement support for VTCs which means that at some point we're probably going to be able to create (and manage?) a company where other people can join and drive for. How will it work with the current system? Haven't a baldy, but it's yet another step towards the long awaited officially supported MP feature for ETS2 - The MP mods days are numbered if they don't step their game up and actually add something to it, that's for sure.
My WOT stats are building up quite nicely but thats because I simply enjoy doing WOT jobs. I don't need to earn more money in-game using freight market because I'm already a multi-millionaire and my skill points are almost full except for eco-driving.
Some way to add a degree of progression to the game within the VTC support of the contracts system; the company, created by the owner, would have some sort of I don't know.. 'treasury' where the more money the owners company brings in that company would then get uh.. some form of 'reputation' in the game itself (or on WOT? however it's going to work) where more high paying jobs would start coming in from the 'big names' from the in game companies kind of like securing a contract for a popular supermarket and if the reputation dropped below the expected standard of that company which hired the VTC the company which hired the owners VTC would end the contract due to damaged goods or some other reason.
Something along those lines would add to the management aspect of the game and could possibly appease those who thought that the management system currently in ETS2 was more indepth than it actually is. Looking even further down the road, such a system could help encourage good behaviour in terms of driving on the official MP server whenever it is we'll finally be sharing the same world together, as anyone that has or for whatever reason still does play the MP mod will say: there are a lot of bad drivers out there but if you think about it there's absolutely nothing to motivate them to drive properly.
It's a nice thought, but how it could be implemented heh.. well, that's up to SCS if they intend to flesh out the VTC support for the contracts system. As it stands it seems like it'll almost just be identical to how it works now only rather than involving one single person the stats might(?) be added to the companies statistics along with the respective details being added to that individuals statistics.
My mind's starting to fire up with this idea that popped up in my head so I'll end it here before I write my third book here on the forum.
