Dual Monitors Tutorial
I've done a bunch of searching and have yet to find any decent tutorial on how to setup dual monitors. I know I'll need to use SoftTH which I have got to work but a bunch of the UI is off the screen at the bottom so it's unusable. Anyone have a good tutorial to share?

Have you setup the screen resolutions in SoftTH correctly? I used SoftTH some time ago and it worked fine.

I just threw the file into the game directory, it poped up with a message saying it worked, the game launch, I changed the resolution to the only large one, the game is on both screens but the bottom is cut off. I don't know how to change the resolution other than to the one that is shown in game.

Thanks Mr Stevens for suggesting SoftTH.
Worked like a charm!

After first launch a config file is created in the same directory you placed the DLL.
Edit the DLL to finetune the resolution.
This guide should help: www.softth.net/forum/index.php?topic=2966.0
SoftTH adds only a single additional resolution ingame - the one from the config file.

Made a guide:

Glad I could help :)
Just as a side note, you need a really good gfx card to handle more than one monitor. When I tried it on my laptop with Nvidia GT 650M the FPS was awful :(

I've a 4 years old midrange GPU ( 660 GTX ) and can run on dualscreen ( HD ) and high settings with high FPS.
Just wish SCS added such a feature directly in the game.

Unfortunanly it seems like SoftTH was abondoned. Latest version 5 years old? No DX10+ support yet? Hoping I just missed something.

Here's some good info from SCS themselves about setting up multiple monitors. There's baked-in mode for several built-in triple and quad layouts, as well as a customised mode which will be of use to you since there's no mode for a double setup. It's for ETS2, but also applies to ATS (I'm running triples here and used the info myself). If nothing else, you'll want to play with the horizontal and vertical FOV.

Also, SoftTH looks cool! Especially the dot pitch correction, I'm not sure there's anything in the game settings I linked that can deal with that. The game can be configured to handle bezel correction though.
DC-GS Feb 14, 2016 @ 10:26am
I did the bezel correction with SoftTH.
You may correct it in ETS2 if you set 2 virtual screens. But in my case I've used single screen with wide FOV.

The guide is only helpfull, IF you can get ETS2 to show something on the second screen.
And no, nVidias Surround wasn't the solution. It may work, but screw up pretty bad.

Looks great!

This looks so cool. I envy you :)

Thanks!

My right screen is angleded at around 40°. I wanted to use the 2 view aproach (multimon_mode 2) from the guide but ended with the 1 view (multimon_mode 0), since I never could connect the tow screens seamless.

*edit:
I did go for multimon_mode 4 (based on 0) with this settings:
monitor_config : _nameless.0000.0000.06F3.CE30 { name: main normalized_x: 0.000000 normalized_y: 0.000000 normalized_width: 1.000000 normalized_height: 1.000000 horizontal_fov_relative_offset: 0.000000 vertical_fov_relative_offset: 0.000000 heading_offset: 0.000000 pitch_offset: 0.000000 roll_offset: 0.000000 camera_space_offset: (0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000) horizontal_fov_override: 145.000000 vertical_fov_override: 60.000000 frustum_subrect_x: 0.333000 frustum_subrect_y: 0.000000 frustum_subrect_width: 0.666000 frustum_subrect_height: 1.000000 render_interior: true render_exterior: true }

Does this help if you want the left screen to show the steering wheel (middle part of the cabin) and the right screen to show the right part of the cabin? Im looking for good settings for a dual monitor the whole day... i copied your settings into the multimon_config but nothing changed... steering wheel is still in the middle of both screens

Did you change multimon_mode to 4 in the config.cfg file inside your User-ETS2 folder?
Have you only added my settings to the file or replaced the content of it?

If it's the latter, this is the whole content of my multimon_config file:
SiiNunit { multimon_config : _nameless.0000.0000.0472.B1D0 { normalized_ui_x: 0.000000 normalized_ui_width: 1.000000 monitors: 1 monitors[0]: _nameless.0000.0000.06F3.CE30 } monitor_config : _nameless.0000.0000.06F3.CE30 { name: main normalized_x: 0.000000 normalized_y: 0.000000 normalized_width: 1.000000 normalized_height: 1.000000 horizontal_fov_relative_offset: 0.000000 vertical_fov_relative_offset: 0.000000 heading_offset: 0.000000 pitch_offset: 0.000000 roll_offset: 0.000000 camera_space_offset: (0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000) horizontal_fov_override: 145.000000 vertical_fov_override: 60.000000 frustum_subrect_x: 0.333000 frustum_subrect_y: 0.000000 frustum_subrect_width: 0.666000 frustum_subrect_height: 1.000000 render_interior: true render_exterior: true } }

So far I didn't found any place which reference the multimon_config name (_nameless.0000.0000.0472.B1D0).

And yes, with this config you get on one screen the center cabin with steering wheel, on the second screen the right part of your cabin including mirrors.
Or just take a look at the posted screenshot.
