Extremely low FPS on Ryzen 5-4500 / RTX 3060

Hi, the game is sometimes sluggish and almost unplayable, dropping from 50 to 20 fps with no reason. Even at higher fps the movement aren't smooth
I tried optimizing via Nvidia App, or by hand setting everything on highest value except shadows to High, mirrors lo Med and both Scaling to 100%. Playing on FHD res.

No difference between 300 and 100 scaling btw.

I'm using Pro mods, brutal graphics and weather, international traffic mod and few others.
The preformances are exactly the same with or without mods.

System is
Ryzen 5-4500 3.8 Ghz (Ryzen high performance mode)
RTX 3060 12GB
16 gig RAM at 2600 mt/s
Windows 11 running from SSD.

That's how the game is since it's still (mostly) running on 1 CPU core, graphics mod will take a little hit beside the graphics settings. Mirror and Vegetation is usually some you can put down to get better FPS I think. If I remember when tweaking my ETS2 game. Got around 100 mods (also graphics mods). Got an 7900 XTX and playing in 3440x1440 with the FPS going from 60 to 120, beside a few times dropping below in cities. The game engine is old, and the performance with newer updates requires more while it mostly running single core performance. You can tweak it as much you want, it will so far still have the FPS drops.

Also, the FPS usually goes down in the cabin view mostly. If you view more of the cabin, the lower the FPS gets. Especially if you got lots of cabin accessories, and animated ones.

Your graphic settings are too high. Turn them down. Nvidia is generally always overestimating the capabilities of your hardware.

Get a 4090 just like me and y can ensure you all problems will go away.
RTX 3060 is a extreme slow card LOL Remember this is a simulation game.
Just get a better PC and you wil be a happy trukker.

Absolutely wrong, there is very little point in changing to a very expensive RTX 4090 for almost no gains in performance.
The RTX 3060 12 Gb I have runs the game flawlessly at 2560x1440 60 fps with GFX set to high or ultra. This game is NOT a micro-second reaction time shooter, it's all about truck driving and enjoying the scenery, not trying to squeeze 4K @ 144 fps out of it just because your monitor maxes out at that.
All that is needed is to get the settings in NVidia control panel and the game right and it will look fantastic and play smoothly at 60 fps, it's not necessary to have the highest spec hardware, read the recommended specs on the ETS2 Steam store page.

Just LOCK your settings to 60FPS using Nvidia Control panel, plus 2 settings in game and it will run smooth as silk, no matter where on the map.

Your system will run it no problem

Yes, with a 3060. Just saying, I have an i7-11800H, 16GB RAM and a RTX3070 Laptop GPU and I have no FPS issues with settings on high.

try running the game with performance monitoring, for example msi ab
on 3060 it is quite possible to get stable 60 fps in 1080p

and try to enable g sync in monitor settings and nvidia control panel if available

try to disable in graphic settings anti-aliasing
the new method smaa + taa can significantly reduce fps

3060 ti even handles 3440x1440

but if you play online with truckers mp - there fps can drop to the bottom when there are a lot of people nearby, it doesn't depend on your hardware anymore, it depends on the server.

only for low PC .Running at 59Hz is embarrassing I run 240hz for a better picture
59hz is played brighter it is 2024 now not 2020
This is for ver 1.48 not ver 1.50. bad video. He runs on graphics mod, I run 4k graphics mod with trrafik mod rain on work without problems on ver 1.5

This is for ANY version of the game. It was 1.49 when he released the video. Settings work no matter what version you run, including the latest. Works no mater using mods or no mods.

All Graphic settings are at maximum with 400 Scaling.

Runs both ETS2- with 49 mods and ATS- with 38 mods at a CONSTANT 60FPS(LOCKED) No matter whereabouts on the map or whatever traffic, weather is happening.

Your expectation doesn't fit to your hardware. The Nvidia x060 models are midrange at best. Even when it's a "Ti".

But you probably might have CPU limit anyway, so i won't bother about the GPU or any pixie dust one-click solution from some "app".
