Nvidia Shield TV, Euro Truck & Xbox One Pad

Hi all, just been getting to grips with my new Nvidia Shield TV and so far been having a fairly seamless experience, but sadly had my first real hitch with Euro Truck. From a control standpoint it just doesn’t seem to want to work with my Xbox One pad. If I launch the game via Steam from the Shield menus I get the pop-up saying it has loaded the controller config I have selected but once I get into the game it just ignores all the settings. Looking at the in-game controls there are a number of controls that just say Joy: missing and most just have keyboard commands listed.

All other games I’ve tried have worked without any fiddling, what is the correct way to get this launched on Shield to be controlled with a pad?
