Will I be able to run the game at ultra settings?
Hey, so I've been looking forward to upgrading my gpu from gt 1030 to gtx 1050 ti, will I be able to run the game at ultra settings, some graphics mods and with the promods map (+ poland rebuilding)? Obviously at a reasonable fps, I have a 60hz monitor so looking forward to stable 50-60 fps

Other specs:
OS Windows 10 64bit
CPU i5-3470 3.20 ghz
RAM 12GB DDR3

Medium would really be pushing it. Maybe you'll be able to push a few settings up but I wouldn't think too much. Of course it will depend on your resolution and scaling settings

Not in ultra, textures in high and everything else in mid-low (specially shadows and antialiasing). No graphics mods neither Promods. If you can upgrade your DDR3 ram too.

Absolutely not. For that your hardware is not remotely powerful enough.

upgrading to 1050 ti in 2024 is a waste of money imo.

I'm sorry to say that all that hardware is obsolete. I wouldn't spend a single coin on upgrading it, it's not worth it.

I suggest you check if "Geforce Now" is available in your country or area. I've never used it, but I've read about other players using it and it works reasonably well for them.

I'm currently using geforce now, it works fine but the fact that promods doesn't work really annoys me

That would require upgrading my motherboard and cpu, guess i'll just wait until I get to work to afford a new pc since a new graphics card won't do it

It's the only option I see where I don't have to upgrade my power supply

I mean I've been playing currently with medium-high and it works fine on older areas (scandinavia, italy, even better on older base game maps), so it's seems weird to me that a gpu 60% more powerful than my current one would be worse

Well what can I do? From what I saw people play on ultra with 1050 ti, and I've read that my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cpu and be decent when paired with a decent card (which I'm guessing 1050 ti is).

If you want to Add Promods & Poland rebuild to your game.....those mods have a higher Poly Count on the Assets they use/they use more of the standard scs models.
In both cases that means the workload for your GPU&CPU increases.

At least back in the day when i still used promods it was noticeable that it needs more resources then the basegame alone.

Maybe back in 2019 with 1.35 but not today. You need a big hardware upgrade (new CPU and way more powerfull GPU). With that hardware the best you will achieve are medium settings.
Also, a GPU won't make a CPU better. A bad CPU will just bottleneck a good GPU.

Well do you have any recommendations?

Getting a decent 11th gen Intel processor or an X3D CPU from AMD paired with a GPU from the 30-Series (preferably the 3060 or up). The rest of the system being proper to that.
