If you use the TAA plugin, delete it.
If you use DSR, deactivate it.
Make sure the game isn't running in compatibility mode and that your hardware is above minimum specs.
Disable the NVIDIA overlay

You may need more than 20GB free on the system drive for swap files
If you are on NVIDIA and have previously used the Profile Inspector for better anti-aliasing, all SCS profiles MUST be restored to driver default, for game version 1.50.
Guys.... just a simple "mehh it doesn't work" don't speed up things here. We need to know exactly, what's not working, what you did, if you use mods (then it's your own fault anyway) and if you even have the proper equipment. Just provide the log via pastebin, and we would have most of the information.
I have a high end PC that runs all games fine and now I buy a $3 game and have to jump through hoops ?
Thanks for your replies but uninstalling.
Again but why
You drive a car irl? You know what engine it has? Well, you must be a car engineer then.
btw: your OS can tell you, what hardware you have, in case you really don't know anything about the "high end" computer you bought.... <eg>
When your car is broken, you call the mechanic, and he ask what car you talk about... you just say "a fast one" and expect he knows whats wrong with it?
Head -> Desk -> Repeat (or get some popcorn ;) )
Gaming PC's are NOT, strangely enough, consoles. You are absolutely required to be a "computer engineer" to a certain extent, whether you want to be, or not.
So, you know, tough. Buy an X-Box.
Otherwise:
Go to the top of Steam library page for the game and click "help" at the very top right-hand side of "Steam/View/Friends/Games/Help".
Click "system information".
Wait for the pop-out window to open and display the information, then right click and select the "copy all text to clipboard" option, and then paste it here.
Plus:
Go to "C:\Users\*your username*\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2" after a crash.
Open "game.log.txt" (NOT game.crash.txt), in Notepad or other text editor.
Copy it all, then post it to pastebin.com (split if too big) as a guest.
Post the link to that page here.
If pastebin is not available in your country you can use rentry.co and post that page link here.
On a Mac the ETS2 folder is in your Library and there in the Application Support. On Linux the ETS2 folder is in the .local and there in the share.
And also:
Verify your game files. You can do this by doing a right-click on the game in your Steam Library and going to "Properties". There you go to "Local files" and there should be the option to verify your files. This will fix any missing or corrupt game files.

Fact is, he doesn't pay here. We are not mechanics he hires.
Yeah yeah of course the mechanic doesn't need any information about the car and what's wrong with it to fix it... you're so damn right (but YOU are definitely NOT a car engineer)... <eg>
Well, of course the mechanic can check the car when you bring it in. But we can't check the op's computer FFS, so we NEED at least a little bit of USEFUL information from him FFS, when he want us to help him... did i say "FFS" already?
He want help, he has to work _with_ us, not _against_ us. Too hard to understand, that we don't have the second sight and can't read minds? Wanna have a cookie? Or some popcorn maybe?
Oh, before i forget to mention it: he hasn't paid anyone of us. But feel free to further pretend you don't understand what i wanna say. I'm grown up, i can bear that. ;-)
