New Computer
Hi Fellow Truckers, I intend buying a new Computer with the following Specs.
AMD Ryzen 5 8400F 4.7 ghz Processor
Asus MSI A620M Motherboard
Corsair 16GB DDR 5 560 Mhz LPX Gaming Memory
1 TB M2 NVME SSD Drive
Ge Force RTX 2060 6 GB Graphics Card

Will this be good enough to Handle Euro Truck Simulator 2 at a High Graphic setting and good frame Rate?

You input will be Appreciated,
Happy Trucking.
Neels.

Guess you mean 5600 mhz.

By the way, you have a lot of new hardware pairing an old GPU, RTX 2060. I recommend you reconsider it. There's a chance that you are helping vendors clear their obsolete stock.

Only on 1080p.

Apart from the GPU, everything looks fine. My setup is about 6 years old (Ryzen 5 3600, Asus Prime X570-P, 16Gb Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR4 3200MHz CL16) but I did recently ditch my old faithful GTX 1050ti for an RTX 4060 before installing ETS2. It will run everything on max settings.

Hi Garret, the RTX 4060 is totally out of reach for my current budget. I guess the RTX 2060 will have to do for now, what sort of performance can I expext?

You don't mention other important stats - like you're resolution - are you wanting to play at 4k or 800x600 for example.

Use the Nvidia Control Panel and LOCK your fps to 60. The game doesn't require any higher. Then you can set the graphic settings to as high as you want a little more each time until your happy.
Watch and use the settings this guy uses. Do exactly what he does. Works for both ATS and ETS2.(easier than typing it all here). Hope this helps.

I think a good resolution is 1980 x 1080. I only have a 2K monitor at the moment.

I suggest you go to some pc building sites, get the quote for the hardware you listed and see if a big price difference is in place.

If you enjoy a big discount you may choose to buy that build. Also, you may find that an RTX 4060 is not that expensive compared to a 2060 in MSRP.

Do not play 1080p on 1440p monitor because it looks bad.

What resolution would you recommend?
timbavati4 Jul 7, 2024 @ 8:00am
Intel Core i5-12400F 4.40GHz Processor
Asus PRIME B760M-K D4 Desktop Motherboard
16GB DDR4-3200 Desktop Memory
480GB 2.5″ SATA III SSD
GeForce RTX 3050 6GB Graphics Card
Armaggeddon NIMITZN5 mATX Gaming Case
500W High Performance Power Supply

Could this be a better option, Graphic Card wise?

No... Never get a Nvidia xx50 card they are not for gaming. The 3050 is actually worse than the 2060.

As mentioned above, the logic here is

a newer 50 version is never better than the previous 60 version. And even the latest 60 version is not very strong like it looks. That's why, if you insist getting a 60, we recommend an RTX 4060.

3060 12gb almost beat 4060 so no 4050 do not beat 3060 12gb version the are so many test that can prove that plus have 12gb then 8gb in 4060 is so much nicer you can crank up the settings more.
