Here, look: https://www.reddit.com/r/LogitechG/comments/vr775z/g27_issue_with_drivers/
There is few steps that could help you but they are not guaranteed.
The G27 Steering Wheel/Pedals/Shifter are working ok in ETS2 its the new Shifter mod thats not being picked up by ETS2. (Windows sees the mod and I can use the buttons)
This is a addon to your Shifter that makes it look like a Truck Shifter and 3 buttons for changing Range/ Splitter and an extra button I was going to use as a engine break
have you ever tried the Logitech G Hub. I have gas G29 and my circuit is recognised perfectly.
Pit-Ffm also mentioned Logitech G Hub. That is something that was also mentioned in the steps I posted link to:
- Ensure that you have installed the latest version of LGS/ Logitech GHub Software for the game devices.
Thank you for information what is this "Shifter Mod". I didn't really know what it was so I think, that G Hub should be the solution as some people on different forums had problems and after installing G Hub, the problems went away.

I have it on a Thrustmaster TH8RS
Generic USB Joystick
but ETS does not show it in the pull down menu and does not say there is a new device connected when loading ETS
I can click properties on Generic USB Joystick and all the buttons work in the setup.
Just a quick update, I've managed to fix the issue.
I connected a Xbox one wired controller and in steam I just disabled the Steam input via the game-pad icon, loaded back into ETS2 and its now seeing my shifter mod
with this shifting you can pre set the gear, say you are in 8th gear, just set it in 9th with no clutching, when its time to shift to 9th you only have to press in the clutch and irt goes to the 9th gear
