Wondering who has bought the new Hori wheel and shifter, I was planning on getting it but from as much as I can find, they are charging £550 for this in the UK, that is almost £100 more than the $600 they are getting it for in the US, considering they've made this specifically for a game by a company based in mainland Europe, just wondering why they are charging £100 more, is the price difference similar in mainland Europe in Euros?

From the Hori wesite: "Expected release date is Fall 2024"

on Amazon.nl where it's advertised for 610 Euro it still says expected delivery date jan 8 2025

The amazon page currently says the launch date is 9/20/2024 (5 days ago), but I have it pre-ordered and all it says is they'll email me when they get a shipping date, but other people on Reddit got it early? What ever happened to transparency? It used to be when you pre-ordered something it either shipped out or arrived on release day. Amazon just giving me a major shrug 5 days after launch with no updates is more than a little frustrating. Especially since some pre-order customers have they're units already

Ordered mine on Amazon like August 12th or something. Got the email on September 20th, asking me to approve the "delay" of the order.

Next update was 2 days later, Sunday morning 22nd of September, 5AM, stating it has been billed and shipped.

It arrived this afternoon(September 24th). Currently have my keyboard resting on the wheel since I can't hug it like I could with my G29.

I haven't taken a drive with it yet, waiting on a friend, but it feels pretty good overall. Pedals don't have a carpet catch like the Logitech wheels, to keep the pedals from sliding. I'll rig something up.

Shifter could use some work. Even work where I might just swap the top half out with my 18 Speed knob instead. Going to require some modifications to make that work. Also 7th position(reverse) feels like it will tear the rubber boot apart, but I won't be using that often in ETS2.

The button section of the wheel feels kind of cheap, but outer section doesn't feel too bad. The ANGLE though of the wheel is almost flat. It sits so high off the desk. I'm probably going to have a buy an adjustable wheel mount thing and bolt it to my desk.

Buttons, SO MANY BUTTONS :D I don't see a need for using the modifier keybinds at all. There's so many buttons and they're all bound already with matching images. Couldn't ask for more.

Is it worth $638.99(my Amazon total after taxes w/ Prime)? Compared to a moza base + TSM wheel + Thrustmaster TH8A shifter + 18-speed shift knob, I would say maybe. If all you play and only going to play is Truck Simulators, this wheel is perfect. We'll see how it holds up long term.

Thanks for the quick initial review, hope you'll share your experiences after using it for a bit, I've read mixed reviews (3) so far, 2 that weren't specifically positive about the FF, the other review was quite positive overall, but I'm not sure if that guy was just a bit too kind on it :-)

It seems to be just what players were looking for, but way out of my budget, unfortunately.
Quel dommage...:steamsad:
Enjoy!

For me it's too expensive for just one game.
Pedals look as though they are plastic (can't really tell from photo) so experience with plastic pedals has put me on guard. The pedals that came with my wheel are metal as are the pedals on my flight sim. To me, the price that you are paying for this sorta kit means I dont want to be replacing them in 2/3 years as has happened to me in the past.
Also a wheel that size and angle (IMO) doesn't lend itself to racing, unless of course you are truck racing.
I do quite a few track racing games as well so I invested in G-Pro D/d wheel.
I kept the G27 shifter so i have manual as well auto gears plus 12 buttons which with the 20 buttons on wheel is more than enuff as I also use Stryders SIM Dashboard on 7" tablet mounted at side of wheel so am more than covered for what I need.
Anyhoo, its horse for courses and hope you enjoy the kit.

I enjoy playing ETS2 ofc but also like to play a bit of OMSI 2 (bus simulator), however it is listed as an incompatible game on the HORI website which is the only deterrent for me. Does anybody know why this might be and if it would potentially be possible to set it up for OMSI 2 as I don't see how it is very different from other games?
