ETS 2 after recent update: trucks seem blocked, can't drive

Hello,

last week (23 june 2024) I installed the latest update. Since then I encounter trouble while driving. All of a sudden the truck slows down and stops. Sometimes I can start again right away, sometimes not. Hard to reproduce, but it is impossible to complete a delivery. Have no MODs and did not change anything on my system.
AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM.

Any settings I should change?

Just an interested user, no expert.

Deactivate the emergency brake.

Using cruise control when it occurs ?

absolutely never use cruise control.

Occurrs also on different trucks. Trucks act like sitting directly in front of a wall or any sort of obstacle.

Is it a clean profile or did it once have mods? Lots of errors in the log which normally points to existing or once used mods?

Also try turning off air brake simulation

Are you sure the emergency brake is off?

It is at least 2 years ago that I had a mod for a short period, simulating air pressure noises when changing gear or something, but removed that quickly. Ages ago, really.

The emergency brake is OFF, it really is.

My bet is something to do with the air simulation, try turning it off

Set the emergency brake detection to vehicle only (just in case).

Update 05 july 24: there was another lite update today, and a short test drive within Växjö city did not reveal any problems. Will try over the weekend, maybe the problem was fixed along with the update. Will report!

Update 07 juli 2924: the update did NOT fix the problem, it reappeared after 30 minutes of playing. Turned even off the air brake simulation but to no avail. Seems like I no longer can play this game.

Unable to reproduce on my end with a vanilla profile. The issue is probably down to your input method. Try using keyboard and mouse only and see if you still have that issue.

I have the same issue, I try to drive and the truck starts beeping and won't move, it'll only "jitter" (sorry I don't know how to explain it, it's like when you want to move a car but has the hand brake on which I had definitely not on.) Hadn't played ETS2 in a while so I can't say exactly when this started happening. It's really frustrating. I don't have air brake simulation on.
