Anyone else has fps drops and lag after the update?
Just yesterday before the update the game was fine. Now I'm getting lots of lag and fps drops. I lowered the settings quite a bit but almost no use.

Yes I'm using mods but this hasn't happened before at any update. I have GTX1050, it was just fine before the update.

No lags here, since i played it offline only. But you might check your online connection for issues.

The 1050 is your only hardware? Just curious.

Bring your settings down to low, deactivate SSAO and set scaling to 100%. See if that issue happens on a vanilla profile (no mods ever in it).

It has been updated dozens of times thru the years.

This update was not a normal update. It was virtually a complete reinstall of the game, due to the content and changes in specifications etc. Hence the size and this is why a vanilla profile is best, followed by a profile that only has mods specifically for, or updated to 1.50

The same issue here with R5 5600X and RTX 3050. Before the update no problem reaching 75 FPS my monitor supports. Now, with the same setting, I am around 55. Turning off Anti-Aliasing and SSAO, I am around 63, but hardly above. It's outrageous that SCS can't be bothered to optimize their games. And I am vanilla player, so, no mods in my game.

OK then. I had returned to 1.49 now because of this. I will go back to 50 and try vanilla

I hear you brother they screwed the game for some people.

For patch 1.50 we all do loses around 20-30fps compare to previous

Your GPU is roughly 8 years old. Eventually you'll need to upgrade. Looks like that time is now.

Speak for yourself. I didn't lose any FPS with this update.

Unable to reproduce on my emd with a vanilla profile and an RTX3070 Laptop GPU, 16GB of RAM and an i7-11800H with high settings (300% scaling, SSAO deactivated). The issue is very much on your end.

Then, why they even released this update when it's clearly so poorly optimized? Should I now buy a new PC just to play ETS2 and ATS, when my current one is not even three years old yet and the graphics card only over a year old? Is this the state game industry reached?

Issue is on your end. If you have your settings too high for your hardware to handle then this is a you issue.
