Click on ETS2, click on properties, click on betas, select none.
Don't know about the other bits as its probably dependant on the 1.50 updates but no doubt someone can help on that.
Never do betas as I like my mods to much and will only actually sort them when 1.50 is released.

Any progress made in 1.50 is not compatible with 1.49. So either you use a backup you made or you play on a new profile until 1.50 is out of beta.

the beta one i dont know this is why you should have one profile for beta and one for mp and one for SP

A profile used in 1.50 won't work in 1.49, however you can use the .bak folders to retrieve a profile that was used before you switched to 1.50, progress made in 1.50 will be lost though.

bak files are back up files. You remove the "bak" then it will return to normal valid file. But remember not to overwrite any current files after removing the "bak".

You can back up every save files, and only put back the bak file (without bak) you need in the folder.

Edit: I have written something unrelated. Please ignore it.

If you are not using Steam Cloud, you can

1) go to Documents/ Euro Truck Simulator 2
2) back up the "profiles" folder (copy them to somewhere else)
3) find "profiles(1.49.2.23s or the latest version).bak" folder
4) Go into the folder indicating your number (a long string of code)
5) Copy everything inside the folder
6) paste them into Documents/ Euro Truck Simulator 2/profiles folder
7) Go back to Steam and select 1.49 version
8) Start the game and load the save

It's been some time since I did this, any additional info or correction is welcome.

If you are using Steam Cloud, the current profile files are located in

(the harddrive you use):\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\your Steam acc no\227300\remote\profiles

You do the same to copy the previous profile files from Document folder, then copy them into the above Steam folder.

You have to select "None".

Do you know if my save will still work if I switch to the beta version and then upgrade to the 1.50 when it'll release?

If you enter 1.50 beta version, stay there with your save until it is officially released, your save should roll over without problem.
