Renault Trucks
Real talk here, does anyone even like their trucks? The dashboard designs, along with the general design of the trucks (save for maybe the T series) are ugly and no GPS on most of them.

What's your take?

I also dislike some trucks in the game but that's why it's good that there's lot's of trucks to choose from sp, just choose another truck that you like! That does'nt prevent me from just loving this game ever since first game came out!

...powerful...

I'll admit it's been a very long time since I drove any Renaults, but when I did my enduring memory of them was that they were very weak for pulling power. I remember a time trying to haul a load out of the old style SCS quarry, and it just wasn't powerful enough to pull the trailer up the slope, even with the most powerful engine the truck could get. Granted those old quarries were extreme and the new ones that replace them are much more realistic, but still...

In a more general sense, the Premium I find rather generic and bland, and coupled with the lack of power mentioned above I just don't really care to use one. The Magnum, however, is a really quirky but cool looking truck...it's ugly, but in such a striking way that I really like it, and as I recall it has one of the best interior visibilities of any truck in the game. Still underpowered, but I have a soft spot for it regardless.

The T I haven't tried yet, as it was introduced during the time I was taking a break from the game and since picking it up again (occasionally) I haven't gotten around to testing all the new machinery. I'm thinking I'll have to try out some of the other older trucks again too, like the Premium and Magnum, see if my (very) old memories of them still stand after years of updates.
when I first started playing I tried to drive all the trucks I could via quick jobs and I thought the same, very weak for pulling power so I always thought it wasn't worth it, I've been trying the old models again in quick jobs and I'm honestly kinda surprised, they're still ugly and bland to me but one of the models has a decent sound that I really enjoy. Give the T a try, it's pretty cool and definitely not in the weak department but the dashboard to me is very simplistic and minimalist which idk it's just not my style.

Quick job trucks almost always have the weakest engines so it's not really representative.

One achievement asks you to drive 999km with an owned truck of each brand and I feel like the best way to get a good idea of how the trucks are like is to buy and spec them to your liking then do that.

You can add a little GPS at the bottom of your winshield with the cabin accessories DLC and I really appreciate the central position of the antevisor which means you don't need to turn your head to see it.

In spite of being the least powerful trucks in the game (520 HP for the Magnum/T and even less for the Premium), they have a great turning radius and handle well. The dashboards are smartly designed and easy to read.
The T Evo is my main truck, I love both the interior and exterior design, but I'll drive the Magnum every now and then too.

Another reason that makes them less appealing in the game is the economy, it's a lot harder to appreciate them for what they are when anyone can buy a Scania 730S.
Renault was never a premium brand, as much for engine power as for interior finishes, and that's how it is. But it doesn't mean they're terrible, much less in ETS, and they're very smooth to drive, if not very powerful.
Technically the first ever European truck to reach the symbolic 500 HP bar was a Renault Magnum with a Mack V8, so I'd rather say that Volvo left Renault Trucks stagnate after they've purchased it. Exactly the same thing that happened for Mack in the US.

4x2 chassis is the norm in France and these offer good range and great manoeuvrability.
It's funny that you mention this because I have been trying them out again and I do like the Magnum's engine sound and the antevisor that you mentioned is a really nice touch cause like you said i don't need to turn my head to see where i'm at.

This isn't about the E-tech though. I played with them around some more after posting it and I'm not gonna say I love them but I was judging them poorly because you can't really upgrade the engines that much giving them weaker performance compared to the rest of the trucks.

I have tried the E-tech in the new update and I couldn't find it more enjoyable, I really appreciate the GPS on the dashboard, maybe the braking feels definitely weird but after reading other people's responses I think that's the way it's meant to work so it imposes a new way to drive which is fun.

7k subs in 12 hrs = a lot of us appreciate what you and the rest of the modding community does for not just this game but many others so I'd definitely feel flattered and motivated to keep on making more content!

Did you even read the post? This has nothing to do with the E-tech truck lmao. Get lost.

Yeah I have that achievement and I agree that Quick Jobs shouldn't be representative but you still can't really upgrade the engines on them Renaults that much compared to the other trucks though.
