Controllers not working on Mac

I'm playing ETS 2 on a Mac running OSX 10.15 and can't get my controllers to work. I've tried my Thrustmaster T16000M stick and Logitec Driving Force GT and both appear listed in the wizard but neither are configurable or function. They both work in X-Plane though and appear to work in the "Joystick Doctor" utility that I purchased recently to test them. Anyone have any ideas?

I had exactly the same problem! with the Logitech joystick and also with the Xbox controller;
Result: no way to configure these game commands; And no response from SCS support !! I play with the keyboard, (not so bad)

Having the same issue - I'm setting up for the first time - recognises the controller and lets me assign the joysticks, but nothing else (such as the buttons or triggers)
