Air horn not working

Yes, I've read some of the previous threads.
My key bindings have not changed; they are correct. I had air horn before.... now I don't.
What did they 'fix' now, to make the air horn not work?

did you customize your truck to have airhorns? Its an option on the roof of your truck and now on the side of the truck (dont quote me on that because i really dont know)

Yeah you only need to place the new rooftop horns and remove the old horns. Something went wrong and a lot of the horns out of the tuning packs do not work anymore. I am sure SCS will be fixing it it just needs some time

They are fixing nothing. The game is still in full development. As result they still try new stuff and some work right of the start others just need finetuning. This latest update belongs to the finetuning part. Just as windows updates can cause havoc and troubles for youre machine so is it with this game. Both are in full development and there will never be a final version.

You can go to the game propperties section in steam, hit the beta program and use an older ets2 version that you liked at that time.

If your problem is in TMP, then that is a problem we all have. Otherwise it's in 1.38.

I'm new to this game so forgive me if I am completely wrong. After the upgrade I found the air horn key did nothing.

From what I have been told and worked out for myself, the original version used the normal horn on every lorry and this was via the air horn key. Since the update the normal horn is a different key and the air horn key only relates to an additional air horn upgrade. I added air horns to the roof of my Volvo and now the air horn key works for that lorry. For all other lorries without air horns on the roof, the normal horn key works fine and the air horn key does nothing.

Hopefully I have that correct. I remapped the normal horn key to me game pad and now use that most of the time.

Feel free to stick with v1.37 or whatever version you want forever, you can do it by clicking the game with RMB and going into properties. Just stop complaining like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that the developers are working in this game and not charging people who already bought it. You just need to buy an air horn, that's it

You are incorrect in a couple of things.

Before the update, the horn and the air horn have always been on separate key; H for normal horn, N for air horn.
Before the update, there was no need to ADD air horns... they were always there by default.

You mean to make it realistic as to only have an air horn if you actually have one on your roof?

SCS is working on it i am sure, its just an overlooked error on their side and now that reports are flowing in about the DLC tuning packs horns whom includes those horns they are looking into it. Just have some patience, use the rooftop horns in the mean time and keep an eye on the patch notes, eventually they state its fixed and you then are able to use the tuning pack horns again. You going beserk for this that is so small wont change anything...
