You are not suppose to pass that incident.( gamewise).
Then that there is alot of people that cant be bothered to wait or go around is another thing.
I didn't know I could wait and they moved on. :/ .. If they had placed some cones down then I would of not tried. Yes i'm totally overlooking the simulator aspect, I've been playing too many arcade racers lol.
Still, I love the new update.
That would be all very well in real life - there would be plenty of alternate roads to avoid the incident. However in ETS2 there is a much abbreviated road network meaning it is often impossible to fulfil your contract if you try to go around it.
The roadblock will regenerate and is random so, sooner or later, you'll get one that it's possible to drive around without damage.
Apart from you, not many, no. China is not in Europe, you see.
As I said above: The detours are not part of the traffic pattern and do NOT disappear when you re-load a save. They are generated when you take the job and do not disappear until after you make the delivery.
I can confirm that this statement is not entirely correct and save-load does help in these situations. If you make a quicksave a bit ahead of the accident and then load, accident will be randomly changed. But sometimes you will have to load quite a lot of times, once it took me 3 loads, another time - 12, but chopper did disappear, so that I can pass by.
What is correct though, is that accident itself will not go away, only its "participants" will change, so you'll have to wait till a helicopter will change into a fire truck that can be safely passed by.
Also on the bigger roads helicopters sometimes can be safely passed by as well, although the distance between truck and helicopter rotors seems to be the same.
I know that. I said it would regenerate, not disappear.
My point is that if you don't want to detour and cannot get past a roadblock, then save and reload. Keep reloading the game until you get a roadblock you can get past.
edit: Yes, what Yopt said above.
