GPU Clock stuck at 780 Mhz
Pretty much the title. Only just noticed this. The Clock Speed usually goes to 1825 Mhz at night and it was raining. But stuck at 780 Mhz.

Ryzen 5 5600 X
M.S.I 3070 Gaming X Trio.
Win 11 up to date.
16 Gb
1 TB SSD.

Also getting this with ATS as well. I've downloaded the newest driver, 551.23 and selected clean install and still the same. Can anyone help please.

Thanks.

Edit:

I've just done a test on Userbenchmark and the gaming score is 150 % the speeds maxed out. I'm confused.

Might be either a temperature issue or a CPU bottleneck (this game is running on a single core).
Zuz Jan 26, 2024 @ 9:40am
This has only just started, Temperatures don't go over 60 Degs.

I've used DDU to uninstall drivers and re-installed with 551.23 and I'm still having the same trouble.

Then it is very likely a CPU bottleneck on your end. Nothing has changed with the game in quite some time.

I don't understand. My P.C. hasn't changed either.

Any software updates?
Zuz Jan 26, 2024 @ 10:19am
Everything that I'm aware of is up to date. Windows 11 is up to date as is the GPU driver at 551.11

No, I meant got any software updates after which this happened?

On the other hand, if nothing is changing performance wise then there is no issue.

The only update I had was the GPU driver, I have noticed a performance issue whilst in Spain. It pauses for less than a second and then carries on. I've just installed an earlier driver to see what happens.

Nothing has changed with rolling down the GPU driver, Still at 780 and the Memory clock is stuck at 5001. GPU usage is around 65-75 %

Okies. Well I'm playing now and the Clock Speeds are changing and I've seen it go up to 7001 Mhz. The GPU utilisation did go up to 81 %.I've never seen it go that high, and Temperatures are good (below 60 Degs).

So, thanks for replying. I think I'm just been a little to concerned. It's just strange as the last time I played this, GPU clock speeds were high and GPU Utilisation was low. Now it's exactly opposite.

Change the "Power Management Mode" in NVIDIA Control Panel to "Prefer Maximum Performance" for Euro Truck Simulator 2.
(NVIDIA Control Panel -> Manage 3D Settings -> Program Settings -> Euro Truck Simulator 2 (Add the eurotrucks2.exe if it's not in the list already))

Yes, I've done that thank you. But, why should have to do this, because a month or so back I didn't have to. Clock speeds went higher than 780 Mhz and GPU utilisation was much lower compared to now.

did you contact MSi and AMD about this problem?
Zuz Jan 27, 2024 @ 4:37am
I've just sent a ticket to NVIDIA. Going to see what happens. It's very odd. I've put it on Performance Preferred and GPU Usage has dropped considerably. I'm just so confused about this. The joys of P.C. gaming eh. LOL.
