Red icon next to workers truck

i recently bought a new garage and put a renault premium intop it, i hired a worker and he doesn't work, there is a red truck icon with an exclamation point to it, what does it mean? do i have to buy a new truck a trailer for him or something?
i also want to mention that the renault is at 3 stars of state and i have 2 other trucks with 3 stars as well and they work great

Did you buy a truck from a Used Trucks dealership?

If I remember correctly that red truck icon means that the truck has too much wear to be used. The hired driver can't work with that truck and awaiting you to do something. Repair it, totally restore it or replace it.

Damn that system needs sorting out I brought a brand new mack had 1% damage to fix I hit restore it cost me $191.000.00 stuffed as to why. I brought a international used rebuilt it gave it to a 1.7 driver and now it's got a red icon. How the hell does one ♥♥♥♥ a truck up without driving it and earning 0 dollars?. The drivers been nowhere

That sounds like a mod truck. NEVER give modded trucks to your hired drivers.

Used trucks are damaged in various ways from the start and may be un-driveable when bought.

For the first one you hit the wrong button, you should have repaired, not restored.

Wrong button. Repair is on the right side, with a wrench icon. It only reduces the damages.

Also, stick to vanilla trucks for employees. A safeguard in case mod issues mess up the game.
