Anyone playing on a macbook pro

Im thinking about buying a macbook pro, and I was wondering if any of you guys play euro truck simulator 2 using any macbook pro models. since i wanna play using the graphics on maximum, I would like to know if it is possible to run the game without any lags.

Depends on what kind of hardware is in that macbook pro.

i5 core 2 duo, 8gb of ram and the 6100 intel iris graphics

No chance on max details then as integrated videochips aren't very powerful, this includes the Intel Iris 6100 videochip.
Get a Macbook with a dedicated videochip if you want a chance at higher settings.

There's a mid 2015 macbook pro with:
Intel Iris Pro 5200 Graphics with DDR3L SDRAM shared with main memory
and AMD Radeon R9 M370X with 2 GB GDDR5 memory. (15", 2.5 and 2.8 GHz)
Automatically switches between graphics hardware when running OS X

You get intel graphics for good battery life and AMD for grunt work. For gaming you can lock it in performance mode by turning off the "automatically switch graphics" option in settings> power management.

have a look at the tech specs on the apple pages. The macbook pros come in various options, some of which have dual graphics cards. Look here under the graphics section to see which have it http://www.apple.com/macbook-pro/specs-retina/

You'll also have to factor in the price of a windows license to install under bootcamp. It's better to play games dual boot I think than under windows emulation.

To play anything 3d on max settings at a reasonable framerate it is likely you're going to have to go for a dedicated gaming laptop or desktop, or else go top of the line. That's just the way it is.

Then you shouldn't get a portable Apple computer. Not only are Apple devices pretty expensive for what they offer, portable devices are even more expensive compared to stationary computers aka desktops.

You can get a desktop that maxes ETS2 for about half of the money. And it would be possible with a Windows laptop within your budget. But not with an Apple laptop.

Not a chance will you play it maxed on a mac book pro.With any kind of solid fps.I have a 2015 mac book pro retina screen.I tried to see what it would do.Complete waste of time.Dont even bother.You need at min a gaming laptop which in the end will cost as much as a gaming desktop and not be as good as a desktop.Not worth the money to try and do any kind of maxed out graphics on a laptop.You will have to spend 2-3k on a gaming laptop that isnt worth it.Face it,laptops are not made for gaming and especially macs.
