Check that your cables are correctly installed in the correct ports.
Also check that all cables and connectors are undamaged.
Also check in the game's controller setup that the pedals are correctly defined.

The cables and ports are fine all brand new. Im trying to set up the controls but when im pushing on the accelerator to say to use for acceleration its not accepting it just my steering wheel. Where in euro truck simulator 2 do i say thereis pedals as well as wheel

Are the pedals recogniced in the software from the wheel?

And have you already tried to run the setup wizard (again) to set the wheel up?

You probably have more than just a pedal?
What happens if you press other pedals than the one you want to use as an accelerator?

I had the exact same thing. Download the manf sw and get the pedals showing in there. I had to then go into the controls settings in-game and manually set acceleration and brake by pushing the gas and brake pedals. Lots of my buttons that were dead started working then too.

I'm pretty sure that by default your pedals are configured wrong, in such a way that if you step on the clutch it will act as an accelerator.
- It is something that has been seen many times before, and it has also been like this with my own pedals when I had to go through the controller setup.

You therefore have to redefine all 3 pedals one by one yourself.

Look carefully at the following 3 screenshots, and pay particular attention to the text on the left that tells what the buttons on the right are used for:
First the accelerator:
Click the button to the right of the text "Acceleration axis" and then step on your gas pedal:

Now the brake: Click the button to the right of the text "Brake axis" and then step on your brake pedal:

And finally the clutch: Click the button to the right of the text "Clutch axis" and then step on your clutch pedal:
