SCS Stop neglecting the brittish isles!

I have had this game since 2013 and the brittish isles havent changed a single bit. Its like a look at the past now. Most other places have been reworked. Even countries however the most recent thing thats changed in the UK was the addition of "miles to" motorway and A road signs. There are major cities like Bristol, Dundee and Inverness. Bristol has a massive shipping industry and warehouse industry that it simply doesnt make sense that Bristol isnt in the base game. Its not even in promods!

The thing I want is a brittish isles DLC or at least a major revamp of the UK. It should include Bristol, Exeter, Fishguard OR pembroke dock, Holyhead, Chester, Aberystwyth, Leeds, Bradford, Preston, Douglas, Ramsey, York, Middlesbrough, Stranraer.

Ireland and Northern Ireland
Belfast, Derry, Newry, Dublin, Wexford, Waterford, Cork, Limerick, Ennis, Galway, Sligo

I think one of the issues is, is that SCS made feel quite small. It does not take long to get from plymouth to birmingham. SCS should strech it out a bit if they were to do something like this, otherwise it wouldnt feel realisitc.

Please SCS stop neglecting the UK.

Ah, again... The rework of the base map is running right now. Beside the UK are also Switzerland (in work right now), Belgium, Luxemburg, The Netherlands, and Czechia "neglected". So the rework will eventually come, somewhere in this row, possibly at the end because it seems SCS considers transit traffic for the order of the countries.

Be glad that this rework is running, other publishers would already have sold you two completely new games for a lot of money and rendered all your DLC you bought for previous versions null and void.

By the way, due to the map taken from a standalone game and due to its island natur, Britain right now is larger than the rest of the map (1:15 instead of 1:19)

I somehow doubt that we will ever see all of those cities due to the scale (and, from what I've read, when they do re-work the UK it will switch to 1:19 like the rest of the game) and that also accounts for the time to drive from point A to point B.

Can we delay the UK rework every time we get one of these threads, please? E.g. delay it by one reworked country every time this comes up.

Please spell 'British' correctly, then we might have some credibility in our wishes for a better representation in the game, thank you.

I think Britain is fairly unique in that it is a relatively tightly packed and populated island, the scale probably does need to be considerably larger and I would also much prefer it to become a DLC (perhaps a free base map reworked as a DLC, with more detail such as additional regions and islands in a paid DLC), let's not forget there are actually five countries in the British Isles, there should probably be at least three ferry routes to Ireland + Northern Ireland, plus islands such as Arran and Orkney. There's plenty of scope for new cities, industries, and landmarks to be added to the game.

I'd like to see realistic traffic for the UK.. Ever tried to drive around the M25 between the hours of 8am and 8pm? or any route into London? or around the M6/M1/M42 around Birmingham? Wall to Wall traffic doing less than 30mph..

Well, the brits decided that they're no longer part of Europe so it's fair that they are neglected on a europe centric game :D

Still part of the geographic entity Europe whether the brits like it or not.

They did left the organization European Union (EU), but EU is not the same as Europe.

Btw, Euro in the game title refers to the type of trucks (the cab-overs), not to the european countries. Or EU members for that matter...

You will have to admit, that these "being neglected" complaints all come from the same direction, despite many countries still being stuck on the base map level?

I do agree with you. But that doesn't mean it's ok to give snide remarks from a certain individual, they guy (OP) only asked a question, to which he is entitled, as is anyone else.

Well - the OP is also entitled to use the forum search to find another of the 1000 posts about the same issue instead of opening number 1001. So despite being a victim of the map myself (with my company in the ETS2 main profile being not in my real home country of Germany but the UK instead since I relocated there 2016 on the change from TSM to Promods)
I am here mor on the snide remark side than the 1001 posts side. It really get tiresome to always read the same stuff because someone starts writing instead of searching. I am myself not always of the same opinion as that particular poster (we also had a major clash already one year ago) but here I applaude.

It says a lot that those from the other base map countries which haven't recieved a rework yet have the patience to wait for it, knowing that it will come but some of the people in the UK don't have that.
