Truck lights not working after 1.49 update
Hey truckers! I've been on vacation for a week, came back to play ETS2 after the update, and noticed my truck lights (standard front halogen / led lights, high beams and auxiliary lamps) were not working... Looking at the truck, they do turn on, but don't shine a light / light doesn't have texture.

At first, I assumed it was a bug comming from the new 'automatic high-beams' gameplay option, which I turned on to try out, but that wasn't the problem. Most mods I'm running are for navigation, radar-detection and some cabin and body accessory add-ons. I also run a 'realistic lights' mod, which I deactivated only to find out it was now much worse than before...

Already spotted another discussion where someone mentioned the same issue on a DAF truck. Anyone else having the same problem and / or know how to fix it? Config file has not been modified and game files have been successfully verified.

Edit: I'm using a Scania S

Are you saying they are not working at night, in a dark environment, or in the day, in tunnels or in your garage? The lights work in my vanilla version of the game.
why not:
Start a new, unmodded, vanilla profile
(you can have as many as you want) and test the game.
The lights, no matter what the setting, DO NOT produce a "beam" of any sort during the day, and are not intended to.

Of course, I mean lights are not lighting up the road at night (or at any point for that matter), they have no beam.

Mods are unsupported by SCS, they are entirely your responsibility. Workshop mods and third-party mods have NO guarantee of working, either on their own or with other mods.
Mods can affect the game in unintended ways causing problems not related to the mod itself. Red/green indicators are not a guide to whether a mod is compatible or up to date.

You can not simply "disable" mods that add parts to Trucks, that are in-use .. doing so will only make your problems worse.

The correct method, is to either, 1. edit every Truck that uses the Mod, and replace the Mod part with a Vanilla part (use the Filters on the left-hand Parts list), or 2. Sell every truck that uses the Mod parts. Do not buy new trucks until AFTER you manually save your game, close the game, disable the Mod, and re-launch the game, clicking Continue when prompted about a missing mod. Load your Manual Save, and begin buying new trucks.

Yes, of course. The mod that I turned off and back on, doesn't add any new parts or accessories, it just changes the light particles to make the vanilla lights a bit brighter. With that mode activated, I have some light left coming from the truck, very weak beams. Without it, nothing at all.

Start a NEW, Clean Profile, that does not have any Mods Enabled, and has NEVER had ANY Mods Enabled on it, EVER. (This will be your Test Profile, save it for future testing).

In this New, Clean Profile, can you duplicate the problem? If the answer is NO, then you have a Mod problem. If the answer is YES, then you should go over to the SCS Forum website and make a Bug Report, using the information from this CLEAN Profile.

Unable to reproduce on a vanilla profile, mod issue.
