G29 wheel on iMac
Hi there,
I've been trying for days to connect my G29 steering wheel with pedals to my iMac for Euro Trucksimulator 2.
The pedals don't work at all, the steering wheel does, but not at 900°. In addition, I can only assign acceleration and braking to buttons. Indicators, lights and everything else don't work either.
Logitech support doesn't help at all. Not compatible. There are users on YouTube who have connected the G29 to their MacBook and are playing American Trucksimulator. With steering wheel and pedals.
My iMac has the latest Sonoma update. I am logged in to Logitech G Hub, the G29 is recognised, but no resources are loaded. I can't set anything on G Hub either. I play Euro Trucksimulator 2 via Steam.
Can anyone give me instructions on how to use the steering wheel and pedals, with all the buttons?

Many thanks, best regards

What do you mean with that?

Logitech says the steering wheel is not compatible with Mac. Only with Windows PC or Playstation.

Then you got your answer. Officially not supported. So unless you manage to circumvent that issue, there is nothing the game can do about it.

Thank you very much for your answer. But I know that it works. I have seen it. Mac + wheel + pedal, like on a Windows PC.

Apple introduced G29 support back with Ventura OS in 2022.

Logitech show Apple support here:, EDIT, not official Logitech site:
https://logitechsoftwarecenter.com/logitech-g29-software-and-settings/

Below are details for Logitech G29 software compatibility ( I added bold highlight):

Windows: Compatible with Windows 7, 8.1, 10, and later.
Mac: macOS 10.15, macOS 11, macOS 12.0, and later.
Gaming Consoles: Works with select game consoles, including Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
Software: Customized using Logitech G Hub and Logitech Gaming Software, available for Windows and Mac OS download.

Suggest that you try taking this up with Apple support, there are others with similar issues showing e.g.

Keep in mind the website you linked is not an official Logitech website. What they claim is not official.

Thank you very much. I have installed the Logitech Gaming Software. I can steer and assign two buttons. Nothing more. The pedals are not recognised at all.
The links show that it should work. Unfortunately, it doesn't work in practice. At least not for me. Someone must have connected this steering wheel with pedals to a Mac and can play ETS2 with it. I need a tutorial with every single step.

Is macOS able to show the Logitech wheel and pedal working?

Can you also do the same in Logitech G-Hub. If you use the mouse to click on the image of the G29 wheel, then you should get a new page showing.

On the left side of the G-Hub app, you should see at the top an arrow to return back, a square with a + marker for various settings, a symbol for a steering wheel for setting like 900 degrees turn to turn. Finally there is a symbol for three foot pedals.

Select the foot pedal icon and you will see the settings to check each of the pedals. You should be able to animate each pedal travel by pressing it.

Please provide feedback.

The Mac recognises neither the steering wheel nor the pedals. G Hub shows me the steering wheel centred, but I can't click. Loading resources is displayed, but nothing happens. There is no back arrow, no a+ or icons for the steering wheel or pedals.

Even if nothing has worked yet, I am very grateful for the time and effort you are taking. Thank you very much.

The steering wheel now works. It is very simple. I don't have to configure the buttons in the controller menu but in the keyboard menu. I don't know why, but it is so. I can now assign a function to all the buttons. But the pedals still don't work.
