If only the car mod, have you tried contact the mod author?
It already is at 0%. But the issue still persists sadly :/
Also be careful with traffic mods, Jazzycat's are known to break the game.
I´m pretty sure that mod is totally fine since a lot of people use it and it´s the most commonly used one. Also it´s being officially used on TruckersMP
My issue is with a car mod that is drivable yourself. The "scout". The steering is extremely weird for me, while I cant find any other people having issues with it. Even though the mod is widely used.
Is that not normal?
Car mods all use the same handling as the trucks ingame, and as those cars drive way faster then the trucks, the steering at higher speeds gets more bad.
So which would lead to the question for your initial Problem.... how fast do you get faster and what speed do you have when that happens?
It doesnt matter really what speed im going. It goes all the way from 20-300M/H
I think it got this bad after 1.46. Before that it felt pretty decent as long as you´re not lightspeed.
Short answer: the mod car is either front wheel drive (FWD) or all wheel drive (AWD), you need to disable the first axle's power in def/vehicle/truck/mod_car_folder/chassis/xxx.sii.
Long answer: I have been tested this issue for a while, including disable or adjusting the drive shaft torque, not working. Then I notice that this issue happen mostly when I have some angle of turn (that the wheel move out of center position where FFB start to give me feed back) and when engine have power output (especially heavy acceleration). I realize that non of those vanilla truck have powered steering axle (front axle). Then I guess this could be the problem of 'torque steering' for FWD cars. Then I went to def/vehicle/truck/mod_car_folder/chassis/xxx.sii and set
powered_axle[0]: true
powered_axle[1]: true
to
powered_axle[0]: false
powered_axle[1]: true
This essentially turn the mod car from a AWD to RWD (disable the power of first axle), and problem solved. (I have test this for W222 S400d and W447 V-class mod, but all moded car should have the *.sii file under chassis folder)
I guess the game is not handle powered steering axle (front) properly.
