Cannot configure T500 RS Gear Shift

Cannot configure T500 RS Gear Shift - I select the position as directed and nothing happens. Running windows 10.

you need to activate the clutch before it will select a gear. hopefully that's all your issue is but without more info from you, it's hard to tell what is and isn't being done/happening

For instance, not being able to configure it isn't the same as not being able to select a gear, but reading "between the lines" I believe it's gear selection that's troubling you

Thank you for your reply. On the input wizard I get the following message "No H-shifter HW controller detected; this feature might be unsuitable. This is as the T500 RS works with all my other sims: iracing, assetto corsa rfactor 2 project cars, etc. Multimedia devices confirms this This device is working properly. The only thing I can think causing the trouble is Windows 10.

ok well it's not windows 10 in general. Are you using the shifter with a wheel or with a controller? I've not hooked my thrustmaster tx back up since I switched from windows 7 a few weeks back.

But I just hooked up my TH8A which is essentially the same shifter (just with the patch lead to connect to the TX wheel instead of just usb) and the game has recognised it fine. I'm using keyboard+ xbox one controller as primary controller and the shifter appears as a selectable option in the secondary controller slot. Still needs a clutch button/axis to be selected

I quickly assigned the gears (7th gear as range select) - each gear needing the clutch activated before it would assign a gear to a gate (and it actually assigned on coming OUT of the gate)

A quick road-test and it's all fine.

If you're using a controller like me then you'll need to 'rollback' the driver as outlined in the sticky thread - remembering to go grab the driver from my post if needed, to rollback TO

But I'm guessing being into so many sim racers that you're using it with a wheel and there I can't help. But the latest driver (it's a combined driver for the RS and the 8A) is working fine on W10 here

I am trying to use the TH8 RS shifter, with the Accuforce and HE Ultimate pedals. I'll try updating the driver as I haven't done since I purchased TH8. Thanks again for your reply.
