As for the nature of WoT contracts using real time instead of the accelerated game time, this only affect how much time you have to pick up the contract and how much time you have for completing the delivery. However once you start the WoT delivery, time goes the same way in the game as with any other standard delivery, so it would probably take you much less time to complete it. Unless it was a delivery from one side of Europe to the other, although even that would probably take you no more than 1 real hour at most.
Thanks for the info. As I said I had no idea that there was a real time countdown for the WoT deliveries. In the future I'll make sure not to take any contracts just before finishing playing for the day.
So just to clarify, when you have started the delivery the real time countdown and the in game time continue independently of each other?
I've seen myself that the difference between real time and game time is affected by whether you are stationary or moving. While trying to grow my empire I sat parked for a while waiting for employees to make me money and the game time moved much slower.
That was a while ago though, not sure if they changed it.
Good advice, next time I make the trek across Europe on a WoT contract I'll make sure it's not before a two day bender :)
The time doesn't vary with you being in motion. It varies by where in the world you happen to be. While within a city/town and at service stations it moves at about 3:1. On b-roads it goes about 9:1. And on the motorways it goes about 15:1, sometimes faster.
