AI Truck Traffic

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this or if its been mentioned before. A search of these message boards didn't seem to have the topic. Lately, I have noticed that many of the trailers on the AI trucks are only regular box trailers (side curtains, etc) , tankers, containers, and sometimes the odd car trailer. I never see any of the other trailer types that used to appear on the AI trucks driving by. I can't recall the last time I saw a logging trailer go by or one loaded with construction material. I do have some reskin mods for real companies as opposed to the vanilla companies but I've been running those mods for over 2 years now. I did deactivate them and ran a few routes with no mods turned on (all vanilla) and was still experiencing the same issue. Has anyone else seen this and is there a fix, possibly? I have also noticed it in ATS too.

Start a new, unmodded, vanilla profile

(you can have as many as you want) and test the game.

Profiles with disabled or removed mods can sometimes still behave incorrectly and affect the game, traces and code from old mods can still be active.

Not getting anything like that happening in ETS2 or ATS with totally clean, never had mods installed profiles in both games.

I have the same problem, I see only containers and tankers.
I just created a new profile, took a Quick Job and stopped aside a highway, g_traffic to 10.

I could instantly see a significantly higher variety of trailers on the highway.
So there IS a problem with a mod...

I suspect SiSL's Trailer Pack or Real companies, gas stations & billboards, without blaming any of these at this point.
I keep you informed as soon as I have time for this.

I did try this as well on a new profile, no mods and I'm still seeing the same lack of variety. I knew SISL's Trailer Pack had caused this issue in the past and when I uninstalled it, it worked. But, when I uninstall ALL of my current mods it's still the same issue, even on a a purely vanilla profile. Strange.

may I ask if you use any Trailer DLCs? Those can (even for AI-Vehicles) turn the weights quite a bit

Now that you mention it, the logging trailers do actually have a low spawn probability (1% or less). If you think it's a mistake, you should file a bug report on the SCS Forum

I have the Krone and Volvo DLC. I also have all of the other non company specific types such as the Heavy Equipment and Specialised Trailer DLC. Those never seemed to give me a problem in the past. I may have to report this as a bug.

This is what happened. This mod prevents some trailers from popping up, at least it makes it very, very unlikely.

You can disable these DLC's in the Steam DLC Manager and run some tests to find a potential culprit.

I have the "official dlc's" (trailers - cargos etc), and i see all the different trailers in "ai traffic", even empty trailers. the only ones i do not see is double trailers.

So, it looks like the spawn rates for certain trailers have been turned way down in the files. I tweaked a few of the numbers and I'm now seeing a better balance in the variety of trailers I'm seeing. I know it may seem unimportant, and certainly not a game breaking issue by any means but it certainly attracted my attention enough to notice. Thanks everyone for your help and input!
