Disable external/WoT contracts?

I really hate the 90km/h speed limit and I'd like to avoid those missions completely. Is there a way to disable them? If not, how do I tell if a contract IS one of those so I'm able to skip them?

You can very easily tell what an external contract is and what isn't. The external contracts are called "External Freight market" and "External Cargo market". Just don't click on this.

Or you can just unlink your in-game profile from your WoT account.

Hmmm. It's been a long time since I played last and so I started a new profile. I'm still just doing quick jobs until I can afford my own cab, and I see no indication on the job lists of which are external or not. Are all the quick jobs external then?

AKAIK all WOT contracts have speed limit applied by default and you cant do anything about. Disabling limiter in setting only applies to in the game itself.

Yeah, I've done five or so quick jobs so far and they're all limited to 90. I do have the retarder disabled in settings. I know for a fact last time I played ~year ago I was doing like 140kp/h with the 4000hp engine mod, but that was after I owned my own equipment. I simply can't remember how I did it, or how to tell the difference between external contracts and ones where I can go whatever speed I'm capable of.

Did you even watch the video above? It's not the retarder you need to turn off. It's the truck speed limiter that needs to be disabled. It's the first option bellow truck cables box.

There are no way to turn off speed limiter for External Contracts and External Market. Hard coded in-game by SCS.

It is possible to turn off speed limiter for Quick Jobs, Freight Market and Cargo Market. Go to Options -> Gameplay. In Truck Settings look for "Truck speed limiter". Uncheck that one if you want to go faster than 90 km/h.

You have 2 options:
- Do external jobs WITH speed limiter.
- Do local jobs WITH or WITHOUT speed limiter.

ADD:
To disable World of Trucks altogether for the profile, exit to the Launchpad. Select the profile in the drop-down and click on Edit Profile. Clear the fields "Account Name/Email" and "Password". Click Apply.

Quick jobs are never external contracts. For external contracts you have to drive you own truck.

Yep, you are right. The truck speed limiter WAS toggled. I completely forgot the limiter and retarder are different things. It must not have kept my config files either since the last time I played. I'm a total idiot.
