Because if your control setup allows you to NOT use the builtin automatic gearbox algorithm then this is the first thing you should ditch. Use sequential.
Two other points:
* unfortunately, if you go with a 6x4 chassis, the MAN has the smallest fuel tank of them all ("only" 400 litres); you are better off with a 4x2;
* the drivetrains provided by SCS are at least 3 years behind the current OEM offerings, and MAN is no exception.
For myself, I'd go for the TGX GX, 510 engine, 4x2 chassis and the 12 speed ZF gearbox with retarder. It can handle a lot, but is not quite as fuel efficient as the equivalent DAF offering. In game, that is. In real life, DAF is currently lagging behind the competition...
New version is just rubbish.
