1. Have you followed Step 1 of the instructions in which you need to create the ProMods definition file? It is important, the map coordinates are stored in there.
2. If yes, have you put it in your mod folder and activated it?
3. If yes, do you use a GPS mod? This changes the file containing the map coordinates, so deactivate it.
Note: There may be people answering to subscribe to map fixes from Workshop - these are only necessary if you extend ProMods with other 3rd party maps.
i have waze navigation for promods, took it out still the same issue. only other mod i have is the on that changes the size of the F2 mirrors and moves the satnave to the top middle of the screen
put this mod above all map mods.
It works out of the box, you can test this by creating a new profile, only adding ProMods Europe (def, map, assets, models1, models2, models3, media). The map is aligned.
Now as the map_data.sii also contains the colours for roads the map/GPS uses, it can be affected by GPS mods if they're not made for ProMods. I've made my own GPS mod by merging the data into a new map_data.sii which I put on top of the mod list.
So basically if you only use the default ProMods map, you do not need extra worldmap downloads (they would surely distribute them with the archive if that was the case, and there's a PM worldmap included anyway (rescaling the UK and adding Iceland and Svalbard)).
For combining PM with other maps, only then you need new worldmap backgrounds.
