Usually i buy the $1 download but question ... the free download,,,,any drawbacks apart from load time and does it work OK ?

Free download is doing very well.

They offer paid download not for better quality (it's more convenient though) but a way of sincere appreciation.

Thank you, the reason i asked was i have found paying for the download is cheap but Promods has screwed up my game in the past, so i thought i'd try the free and buy later if all works ok. I have my game running near perfect now and when the 1.48 Promod download comes out i'll give it a go.

You get exactly the same mod at the free download vs the paid download.

The main difference are the download itself:

• Download speed. Free download is capped to a much slower speed. You cannot circumvent this by downloading several files simultaneously. 1-2 at the time only.
  
• Number of downloaded files. For free you download, I think, 9 files a 256 Mb each. Together they are the big .7z file you get as 1 big file at the paid download.
