Toll Gates...

Anyone else as infuriated as I am at the amount of damn toll gates... So annoying. Just far too frequent imo.

Map scale is 1:19 outside of cities in mainland Europe. And yes, there are countries who have toll roads. Either deal with it and use the telepass lane or use country roads to avoid them.

And when I’m in a country that has them there are never any routes that I can make that don’t use them with out it being 2-3000 miles journey haha

The only ones that don't are in Poland AFAIK. Every other toll road has telepass.

What abou Brenner pass, Arlberg and Tauern tunnels? Have not come along there for some time. Don't know if they got them with Austria rework, which they probably did if the real stations have stopless payment systems, but which is the point I'm not sure about.

Only one toll road in the UK, IRL, and that is optional.

Depends on your definition of 'toll road' because, in addition to the M6 toll road that I presume you are referring to, there are a fair few bridges and tunnels that charge a toll and at a minimum you would have to consider the Dartford Crossing on the M25 to be a toll road which is not particularly optional.

@Miles - understand your feeling, especially with those in Poland (full stop but few) and France (slow down but many). Cannot say anything about Black Sea and Iberia, as I don't own them, but most smoother ones are Scandinavia (pass through and few, mostly in Norway) and Italy (slow down but mostly when entering/leaving tollway only). The odd? I'm getting used to them

The Humber Bridge between Grimsby and the Hull ferry is a toll bridge in real life but not in ETS2.

All the old ones going into Italy have been replaced with the newer toll stations that have a telepass lane.
