Employee Problem.
I have tried finding an answer on google before trying here so here goes. The past couple of days my Employee's aren't working. You know when you see there earnings scroll along the bottom of the GPS Unit, that hasn't happened for the last couple of days and my money isn't going up at all. Think i have 6 or 7 large garages all full with drivers with decent trucks and nothing. I noticed the same on ATS as well. Any idea's appreciated. Sometimes the Time sticks as well and don't know if that's connected. I have verified files on both games and no issues.

Do you have your own trailers that your drivers can use?

If so, the driver will 100% sure take that trailer regardless of whether there is freight for it or not... And if there is no freight for that type of trailer in that city, then there is no work for the driver.
Solution: make your own trailers private, or move them to another city where there is freight for them.

No trailers just trucks.

I had a similar problem at Aberdeen, both drivers stopped working. No trailers. I moved them to another garage and they started working again. I have noticed only recently a couple of problems in the game. I've had 2 emails from drivers saying they will quit in 2 days, because they haven't had a truck for 3 days. They both had trucks, First driver I dismissed and got another driver for his truck, no problems with the new driver. The second driver (9.2 skills) was moved from London to Aalborg (no trailers) and hasn't even been in Aalborg for 3 days?? Moved the second driver to Katowice to see what happens. I'll let you know. Last, did a job from Dover to Calais. GPS would not show me a route into Dover port, would only show me a route back to my start point, resetting nav. and clicking everywhere at the port in Dover did not help. Had to abandon the job. I verify files after every session.

This sounds like you let these drivers switch trucks while they were just starting a long trip when you moved them and their trucks?

You write yourself that you have moved 2 drivers from Aberdeen to other garages where they started working again:
Did you give them new trucks there? Or did they take over other trucks that you knew for sure weren't being used by other drivers?

The drivers who complain about the lack of trucks:
Had you just moved them to another garage and given them trucks other than their own (eg swapped with other drivers' trucks)

Please note that if you move a driver or a truck to another garage while they are working on a job, the move will not be completed until the job is completed.
This means that if the driver and/or truck had just started a very long trip from one end of the map to the other end of the map, it could take many days for them to complete their trip... especially if the trip includes a long ferry trip (such as from England to Spain or vice versa) and in such a case the problem you have will easily arise.

Edit add: Maybe @Lord Odin has the same problem (moving drivers/trucks while they are on a job)?

As far as I know whether or not employees have a trailer doesn't matter.
Even when I had 350 drivers none of them had a trailer.
I did give them good trucks, basically just cloned mine which gives me a better "fleet" feeling, this will help as better trucks = better jobs and will level up a bit quicker.
What can impact on the driver's workload is the skill level of that particular driver as that will have a bearing on what jobs they can take.
The drivers w/o trucks, did you sell them but mistake or maybe relocate their truck and not replace it or not move the driver with the truck?
At low levels (not sure for how long) they will spend time off road or more likely return empty as the jobs available may require higher skill levels than what the drivers have.
This will diminish the they get better skills but will still be there as its in the game.
Some ops say thet you should focus on particular skills but I found that once you start getting a lot of drivers it gets hard to monitor them and so they max out a skill and then waste points as go up because they don't switch points.
Personally, I just hire a driver, put them in a garage then forget about them.
Also the early days, to try and maximise the jobs available I buy 3 or 4 garages where the freight available is three spots or higher then expand them to 5 use them as my core earners then just base garages from there (as even with hard economy money is pretty easy to earn, just takes longer) and stick drivers in wherever I fancy til limit is reached.

Thanks for your help and advice, I Re-installed both ETS2 and ATS earlier and i have Promods Europe and a couple of others they do and they were all in the wrong order so i checked on Promods site and found the correct order and sorted them. I have tried ETS 2 and everything is back how it should be. I did get a lot of help from one of my new friends @kaki_Gamet, think i have his name right. He was really helpful and told me a couple of other things to try which i did. Hopefully ATS will be ok when i try it a bit later on. I mainly play ETS2 more so was a bit more concerned about that.

I left a driver with out a Truck for 3 game days and they e-mailed me saying they need a Truck as they have bills to pay which i wasn't expecting.

You cant hire a driver without a truck.
For them to tell you they don't have one means either:-
1. You sold their truck by mistake.
2. You relocated driver without their truck.
3. You relocated truck without the driver.
I have had such messages in my early days when I was replacing my fleet just to spend the money. I was selling truck wholesale and missed replacing the odd truck. Now I do just a garage or two at a time.

I think i did sell her Truck so your right, it was a while back. I think it was on ETS 2. Back to topic, i played ATS tonight without any issues. Just before that though i got a mod from Trucky and it crashed my game, uninstalled it and everything A Ok.

Certainly can. Just assign them to a free garage slot and then don't assign a truck to the same slot.

Oh well, you learn something new every now and again.
Never thought to hire driver without truck as it would be totally pointless.

Agreed, and I've only ever done it to find out what would happen
