There shouldn't be any script that does things a virus would do just for grabbing a list of available servers/sessions.
It's just weird.
Plus if you do compare it with that then what sort of connection would it need because it used to work perfect before without the need to put the exe file in some sort of allow list.
What changed since a few months?
Since the process involves network access during convoy, some part of it must have been recognized as some kind of virus-like behavior.
Anti-virus companies check business applications for misrecognition, but not game applications, so misrecognition problems are relatively common.
Assuming that the game .exe may be allowed to trigger this third party WoT may be what is getting flagged up. I don't see SCS adding a dedicated launcher to control both and I doubt that may would like an additional launcher.
I am not a software or game developer, so I could be wrong about my above thinking.
It does seem that every now and again, AV companies flag ETS 2 or ATS as a possible issue. Free services are far more likely to do this it would appear. Not everyone see's these issues as it is down to your own personal settings.
