Getting a "downloading update information" message again and again

This is a message I never got until about 3 days ago when I bought all the map dlc's together. From the first game boot until now (at least 10 boots later), I always get this message in the launchpad: "Downloading update information..." It's similar to the "Loading steam workshop items" message (same interface, and takes roughly the same time) but comes before it and I don't understand what information is being downloaded and why is it being downloaded every time I start the game. It's very annoying.

Verify your files. You can do this by doing a right-click on the game in your Steam Library and going to "Properties". There you go to "Local files" and there should be the option to verify your files.

If you have set the game to only update when you start it then this is likely why.
