Update has changed my controller settings

The latest update has made my controller undetected to the game im getting a message saying the controller is missing. The controller is still working in game but now the sensitivity is waaay off and the wheel moves around too quickly. Anyone have any tips on how to fix this thanks

I restarted the game and the sensitivity is back to normal and my controller is working but its not being recognised in the game. At the button layout it just says joy missing

Its not recognising the controller for some reason it only says that my keyboard is functioning yet i can drive with my controller but i cant input any buttons into the options section

Well, while I experienced the same with driving, I wonder if it is controller or the in game truck control that is reset / changed.

It seems you have turned on Steam input.

Yeah that seemed to do the trick i disabled steam input everything is working fine now thanks

Turning off Steam Input should absolutely *not* be a solution to this. The developers literally still have Steam Input support pinned at the top of the discussion page from older versions. If they just randomly dropped support for it recently, they have made zero effort to communicate this. I have no idea how this game got Steam Deck verified in its current state.

Steam input or not is not about solving anything. It's just an option. The game itself has controller support, so as Steam. That's why players can choose between them.

Tangentially related to OP's problem, but Steam Input was actually completely broken for several months but I just checked and it's magically working for me again? I kept checking patch notes for any mention of that and it never came up so I gave up on playing it until now.
