Using two different Map DLCs in one game?
Sorry for the dumb question but I dont have a clue:
For example if I bought the Iberia and Road to the Black Sea DLC, could I use them together in the game? Would it be one map from Spain to Romania?

You can use both of them but you can't deliver job between them because those maps has no connected roads.

You can combine official map DLC any way you want, but it does not grant you the roads of the DLC you didn't select. Usually every map DLC has at least one ferry or road connection to the base game map, with one notable exception: "Road to the Black Sea". If you're not using "Going East", "Road to the Black Sea" will be completely disconnected from the rest of the map.

Each Map Expansions purchase adds an area to the vanilla map, so you can use any number of them at the same time.

If you are shipping between Spain and Romania, "Iberia" and "Road to the Black Sea" alone will not allow you to pass through France and Hungary.
Therefore, to transport only by land, "Vive la France !" and "Going East!" are also required.

"Vive la France !" are not available, the shipments will be transported via the UK using a ferry.
(We can do the transport itself, but we are not looking for these strange routes, are we?)

"Going East!" is a must.

A bad looking one however. It will eventually get updated when SCS are done with the base map. If OP is free to choose what to buy now, they should maybe skip Road to Black Sea and get other DLC first. Once Balkans is out, there will be an alternative connection to current standards.

It is possible to get jobs and drive between Iberia and base map as there are ferry connections between Santander/Bilboa and Plymouth.

For jobs between Romania/Bulgaria/Turkey and base map (and Iberia) you need Going East DLC to use as transit.

However you can Quick Travel to discovered cities "the other part" of the map. Each DLC have a so called key city to which you can Quick Travel without discovering it first. Unfortunately there are none for the base map but Iberia has Madrid.

If you can buy a garage in the other part you can do that and Relocate yourself and your truck to there.

EDIT: Base map does have a key city namely Hamburg (D). Thanks kaki_gamet.

@Magnus - sure that Hamburg (base game) is not available anymore? Until v1.47.2.1s it still has the flag as key_city into def files.

Yes, you are right! I tested with a brand new profile and indeed Hamburg is enabled for Quick Jobs in current version 1.47.3.1s. I didn't noticed that last time I looked for the key cities.

Thank you for taking the time to test it ^^b

Ok, so if I bought all of these the map ingame would just grow. How do I start the game then, does Steam add the contents automatically to the installed game, so I can play that extended version by just clicking on it in Steam?

Just buy and install the map expansion DLC, nothing else needs to be done.
The map is automatically recognized by ETS2 and expanded.

However, since it is a relatively large file download, you may want to check for consistency after installing everything, just to be sure.
Sometimes there are deficiencies.

If you buy a DLC for ETS 2, no matter which one and how big it is, it no longer has to be downloaded because all DLCs are already downloaded when ETS 2 is first installed. In the "...SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2" folder there should be 89 .scs files (in the latest version) on each computer.
Purchasing a new DLC only updates the entitlement to use the DLC.

@HGB - actually map DLC are not installed (as they won't be available on Convoy anyway unless purchased), and I guess even the Special Transports may be not (although mods can add those cargoes to regular ones). We need someone with base game only to be sure : )
