Money Limit in ETS2?

I have 14.640.000.000€ and i'm level 266691 with 1.813.000.000XP because i had an mod active that gives me a lot money and XP, but after i bought 24 garages and had them full, I went to sleep in-game and forgot to turn off my money mod. Now I got way too much money and I don't want the game to crash.

Lots of mods = LOTS of potential problems
It is right on the launch screen every time you start the game, when you run mods.

@topic no idea what the numerical Max values are (highly depends which integer is used for those numerical values), but i doubt that the game will crash if it reached that point.

I dont have any crashes, I just asked if a crash could happen

No one has ever found out to my knowledge. If it happens, it should basically result in "Schroedinger's profile crash", your profile will crash and not crash at the same time. The data format used for the money is called integer and as you are already beyond 32 bit, it must be at least 64 bit, which it probably will indeed be. That means the money limit is 9.2 quintillion (a quintillion is a number with 18 zeros). So you still have a lot of leeway before you get there.
Integers can technically not crash a program because they roll over. However, that means, that if you are at 9.223.372.036.854.775.807 (the exact limit) and earn another Euro, your account will flip to -9.223.372.036.854.775.807. And while the game not crashes, it will render your profile destroyed, because... I wish you luck with getting your account into the black within 24 hours

money mods are not the best way to go... Look up "Truck Discount Swag" mod

but... the max amount is 1^14 i think.. I had a stall out on the gpu and it loaded all the max in the GUI.. It was either 1^13, 1^14 or 1^15.. i didn't get the chance to screen capture it

The game won't crash. It will simply roll over into the negatives and continue on like nothing happened.

Assuming Reese and MirkoC407 are right, isn't it the end of the game because you can't buy fuel anymore, or repair your truck, or buy a new one,...?

Basically you have until the next day to get your account into the black. Otherwise the game will put your equipment on exectution sale until it is. And as all assets you own are not worth the negative span of Integer64, that's exactly what I wrote. The game will not crash to desktop or freeze for a memory overflow. But you are in a situation you cannot really get out. Although there is an emergency exit:
- Fire all drivers (to cut income)
- Sell some trucks (for half their new price I think that was)
- Buy new trucks (this will roll your money below -9.223.372.036.854.775.807 and flip you back into the black)
- get a money waste mod (they are around), or manipulate operational cost and fuel prices so you burn money
- reemploy some drivers so you can still control the "burn rate" but loose money faster

I can also just make a new account and put the money mod off after using it once ( gives me 100Mio ). I'm not worried about losing the profile or crashing. I got interested how much money is too much.

Never seen point of money/exp mods but each to their own
Just being lazy IMO and removes what little challenge there is to the game regarding expansion.
Its so easy to earn money that I rejigged economy to v hard setting.
Yes I know, it still doesn't change premise of game, just takes longer but you don't have a ridiculous amount of money in bank.

in 2 weeks i can have a play time of 20 hours. I don't want to waste most of the time grinding in a slow truck money to buy a bigger truck and more. I'm also testing car mods, so having money to buy them is also a time save for me

if that happens, it is likely caused by the mod, not the money.

@Mirko - I got 2^64 = 18,446,744,073,709,551,616€ (so that 1€ before it will be still safe).

@Rival - there were some cases, but the most recent one I remember of is Disney Tsum Tsum on a mobile phone when reaching a very high score (2^32).

@OP - you are 10 billions above me (one order) so no need to worry for a long while, but if you want to reach the limit, better to push your money mod even further : D

I think i read sometime that those old Arcade Games crashed/bugged out when the max num value (at that time) got hit.

It may could happen on some modern games too, but i would guess that the chance that something bad happens are a lot less these days.

Guess I'm neither skilled nor old enough to see it ... But that's safe for me as long as I wouldn't have this chance.

btw I played Tsum Tsum, its addictive but I never score high.
