Can't get Cruise Control to work.
So I've set a key to enable cruise control (C), to resume cruise control (R), and to increase and decrease it (+ and -). However, it all doesn't seem to work.

Whenever I release my foot from the accelerator the cruise control disengages completely and the truck slows to a stop. This seems to happen even if I only slightly decrease my pressure on the accelerator, again the cruise control resets to 0.

Is there something I'm doing wrong here or does the cruise control in these trucks only work when the accelerator is still being pushed to about the speed you'd want anyway?

Make sure that when you aren't pressing the brake and clutch that none of these are being registered. You can check this in the controller settings in the game. There is an axis where you can see if something is being registered (a yellow bar will appear). If you aren't pressing anything but the yellow bar appears then you need to increase the deadzone of it till there is no more yellow line.

Plus it works only at or above 30 km/h = 19 mph. Fair to say, below that it won't engange at all so it cannot disengage anyways.

I've been having a similar problem just the last few weeks, cruise control normally works but will suddenly exhibit the same symptoms as the op (refuses to engage). In my case the solution is to unplug my wheel and the reconnect it after which all is well (until it happens again).

Also If you set Engine break and or Retarder to Toggle, and have any of those enable they will disengage the CC as soon you take the foot out the gas pedal.

Options to use CC along toggle EB/Retarder, disable both before setting the CC or in game options Gameplay set those to Auto

When it happens check this:

I checked that, neither the "Automatic retarder" or the "Automatic engine brake" are set.

This seems to be the issue, but I can't seem to fix it.

I'm using a brand new G923 Logitech wheel by the way.

It looks like this is the issue, because when I take my foot off the accelerator (regardless of cruise control) the truck comes to a very rapid halt, like a couple of seconds from 80 to 0, as if it were under braking conditions and not just coasting to a stop.

I've tried every mode of braking and I've tried setting the braking dead zone until it nearly filled the entire bar in the controller options but to no avail, the game is convinced I'm pressing the brake when I'm not even touching it.

No idea what it is, but I'll definitely check it out. Thanks for that.

I seem to have solved it, I completely reset the controls to all defaults and set up the Logitech wheel again from scratch. It's now working.

Thanks everyone for your responses, they're all much appreciated. :-)

Glad that it's fixed, Logitech wheels do need their proprietary software installed and running. The g923 needs the one called GHUB. g29 g920 and previous models can work with either Ghub or LGS [Logitech Gaming Software]

Turns out I already had GHUB installed. :-)

Very glad for the solve too - cruise control works perfectly and my trucks no longer screech to a shuddering halt the moment I release the accelerator... hehe.

I also have the same problem when I stop stepping on the accelerator the truck goes from 80-0 in a breath (as if the game detected that I am braking) and the cruise control does not work either I have the G923 and the Ghub installed

Check the command button linked to the brake action

I'm having this problem after the 1.48 update and not playing for a couple weeks. I have the g29 with the lgs installed but don't have it open when I'm in game
