Max speed.
Hello there.

Anyone know, why my personal Scania S can drive with max speed 140km/h without cargo, 730HP engine while Quick Job Scania with cargo easly get 150km/h?

It depends on the transmission you have installed. If you want more speed use a transmission with the smallest gear ratios. For example scania have a 11.73-0.79(if im not wrong) and with that it can easily reach 168 km/h. I hope my comment helped you.

Yep - this is one of the factor that determines maximum speed. The fastest gearboxes are the 6 speeds with the lowest possible end gear ratio.

Then the other one is the wheel size on the drive axles - the bigger, the faster you can go (lower acceleration).

The 12+2 gearbox is not the fastest one - it is good for pulling very heavy cargo with underpowered engines. For a 730 Hp engine - this is not the case.

So finally you should reach speeds without any additional load like 170-180 km/h.

Maybe it's going downhill when you easy can drive 150 km/h?

Most likely different gear ratios.

Road is straight, my Scania, even raiding downhill hardly get 150km

My Scania has 12+2 gearbox with retarder. Honestly, I bought every last engine, gearbox from the list. Maybe problem is to not have best gearbox/engine?

try going to settings - game - look for truck options and there should be something related to the speed limit. Make sure you disable that, and it should fix your problem

Speed limiter only existed while doing Multiplayers Contracts. If this option was enable, I won't be able to reach even 110km/h.

Next time you get a faster than your Scania on a Quick Job, detour to the nearby workshop and take a look at each of its parts. Although you cannot change nothing, you can see them : )

Hmm....good idea :)

Truck checked, basic engine and gearbox o.O

So those you selected are not matching each other so very well ^^' But anyway, I suppose you got some other benefits at expense of speed ; )

Ratios and Finals are all that matter

Biggest is not always best 😉 you need to fire your mechanics or just buy a better brand truck 😋 I must admit I don't go for the speed thing, BUT that was quite fun... I see why you do it.. drive safe play your game your way …. :steamhappy:

183km/h
