there is any free-driving option?

I see there are lots of car mods on various external sites...but can I just enter the game and drive with the vehicle I choose? without jobs or money...just arcade-ish jump in and try to drive a truck (or a car) - not only campaign mode.
is it difficult to switch from a truck to a car?

I read someting around but it's quite difficult as I don't have the game, i'm just trying to figure out if it's the right game for me before buying

You can always free ride your own truck without jobs. You just have to play "Truck simulator" till you gain enough money to buy your own truck.

About cars, there are some "mods" like Audi or BMW X6 etc to have them, but they are often "replacement" of existing trucks, and not updated after a patch or two. So not sure if they are worth to follow them. After all, this is a truck simulator. And if you own a truck, what you do with it completely up-to-you... Make jobs or ride free.

Either way, you need to gain some money to buy any vehicle.

so i have to buy a truck before applying mods? no "arcade mode" outside of my profile (fuel, signals, accidents )?
I'd like to jump ingame and just drive a vehicle of my choice, outside campaign/money/other achievements.

No, there is no arcade mode, but gaining money etc. is not really hard on this game. Also there are some mods to make money gain ultra ultra fast. After a while, you are sitting what to do with your millions of euros...

Either way, trucking is all about hauling, safety of the livery, I hate free-rides myself, tried to avoid it as much as I can... But you can always pick a "quick job" that actually you can select which truck to use , just check out "icons" on jobs, you will see you can select which trucks to have job from.

Is it just a "reskin", i need to purchase them ingame...or what else?
