Black screen on start with sound (Solved)

Hello guys,
i need some help.
When i start the game i get a black screen but i can hear all the sounds in the backround.
I tried running the game in safe mode, dx9 mode, opengl mode, both 64bit and 32bit. I even installed the game on different hdds.
Deleted the ets2 folder in the documents and let steam check the game files.
I also tried to adjust the resolution in the config file and tried to run in window mode, which makes the game crash.
No mods are installed at the moment.

This problem occured like over half a year ago. But now i really want to solve it.
As far as i remember it occured from one day to another. And if i remember correctly some days after i updated my graphic card driver.
ATS runs perfectly fine.

I run a windows 7 64bit system.
Maybe it has something to do with the registry, but i'm not really an expert when it comes to such things.

If anyone has any idea on how to solve that problem, i really appriciate sharing it with me.

Hi,

Not 100% sure of the efficiency but :

1) update all your computer drivers with sites like driverscloud.com

2) uninstall game completely (make a back up of your save game in MY Documents ETS2 if necessary before)

Alright, i updated my drivers, deinstalled the game with iObit uninstaller which also deletes the registry entries and reinstalled it. Didn't work.

I tried pressing alt + enter how the guy in the video said and that does nothing.

Is your firewall blocking the game from starting?

How about running the game as an administrator.

Right click on eurotrucks2.exe > Properties > Compatibility > tick Run this program as an administrator.

Well the game itself starts, but with blackscreen and sound in the backround. My firewall isn't blocking and running as administrator doesn't help.

I am seriously out of ideas.

I also tried running public beta and changing my desktop resolution. Still no effect

Was it a clean install of your card drivers, (un-install the old before installing new) some people use a driver cleaner, as l don't use them l can't suggest any.
Were you use any mods at the time?

Not a clean install. I updated with nvidia geforce experience. I will try that now.

NEW Solution 2019 Working 100%

If you have the BlackScreen Online or Offline try this:

Go to Documents in your PC > Euro Truck Simulator 2 > Config ( put the file in a new folder outside of ets2 game )
Go to Profiles ( profiles steam with numbers like 4C657556... , and in each folder, take the Control.sii ( put it out of the game files in a respective folder , for if any problem you can re-put it on the game files ).

And the games work again, this occured because you have saved with mods about Steam ( also, your mods on steam doesn't download in game, like me, so use external website for install it manually )
