New Scania R-Series 2016

In exactly one month Scania introduces the new R-Series 2016 I'm really looking forward to the launch of that truck and how it looks.
Scania trow a few photographs of the interior online but none from the outside.
Hope scs will add this truck next year since they have a good relationship with Scania.
So there is good hope there will be more new trucks next year.

I'll be at the Elmia truck show (Jönköping, Sweden) where Scania will unveil the new truck. Will bring my children along since they are truck lovers :)
I've seen a picture of a masked Scania 2016 but from what I could tell there won't be a huge difference on the outside :( I hope they bring out a Volvo killer engine of 800 hp ;)

Yeah i've seen that picture of the camo Scania too, could not say anything much about it accept that the mirrors where ugly, more like volvo stylisch but yeah if you look at Scania the last 21 years by the intruduction of the 4 Series nothing much changed so i expect a evolution not a revolution, atleast i hope so because i like them like they are now .

I'm itching for SCS to add the 143 to the game at some point. I genuinely hope that if/when they get round to working on Ireland they do a Frenchy and throw it in with that country DLC like they are, I think, with the French DLC and the Renault T.

Possibly the R series 2016? It's a timber truck like but it's the best I can find. Shows up after the Volvo around 0:21.

I don't think that 143 will ever come, scs never introduced a classic truck in there games, let's hope they build a Scania Classics DLC with the 141, the 142 the 143 and also the 164 that would be awesome. I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I use the Kriechbaum V8 open pipe sound mod it works for the scs Scania's and the RJL R & T

It's a older mod but it still works fine, there are 2 versions with this mod, with rathel sound or without but i prefer the rathel sound. It sounds more like the 143. I tried many newer v8 sound mods but this is still the best in my opinion.

Didn't they say a few months back that it is something they would LIKE to do, different types of trucks and some classics. But a lot of it comes down to licensing, much like what happened with the W900, companies want them to show case new models over old models.

The W900 was meant to be a launch truck, but PACCAR insisted that they put in the new model first.

I would think the same is true of EU manufacturers. That's not to say they'd never license old ones, but getting newer models would probably be some what easier.

Do you know how to install that mod on a Mac? I've got two .scs files after the download. At the moment I've dropped them into the main ETS2 folderwhere the dlc files reside.

Check Google, enough video's and tutorial's i suppose. I use Windows 10 so...
