I don't see a problem here at first glance. Just seems like simple physics at work. If you want to be at top speed all the time, then i would recommend to choose the lightest weight contracts.
Keep in mind the DAF can only have one powered axle. That doesn't help either.
So far i haven't found a contract i couldn't do with my DAF.
It's a great truck, my preferred one in fact, but it does have downsides. You either have to learn to work around those, or maybe the DAF isn't for you.
My configuration is the XG+ with the FTS chassis, 530HP engine and the 16 gear transmission with the Retarder.
The rear steering axle makes the thing turn on a dime. Can also be lifted if preferred.
