Rest periods
I would like to choose how long I need to take a break.
example:-
6hrs left to make delivery
Delivery due in 3 hrs
Next break due in 1 hour
So you see I could take a 1 or 2 hour break (have a p and a burger) w/o getting fined and still make it.
And please dont tell me to turn the fatigue off.

its set to 9 hours coz after 8 hours driving reall lorry drivers have to have 9 hours between there days of work but in really life lorry drivers can work up to 10 to 15 hours a day :Animal_Instincts:

after 4 and a half hour you need to take 45 minutes of rest, which you can split up in a 15 minute break and a 30 minute break(not the other way around) and you can drive 9 hours a day(2 times in the week 10). you may only drive 90 hours in 2 weeks not exceeding 56 in one week and the daily rest should be 11 hours(or 9 if you have done 3 hours already that day)

I'm a truck driver so it would come in handy to know this

doesn't matter. on my truck there is a message and a light showing up when I only have 15 minutes of driving left. annoying if you know you are making it but still have to look at that warning light

it's better, you can be a little over time without cops seeing it. with the passes they can see every minute you go over your hours.

Yea, I know. And it is all stored in the card for a long time. And after you empty the card at the office they can still pay a visit and check all drivers...

I fully agree with the OP, with tight delivery windows like on Urgent Just in Time deliverys thier should be the option to set the number of hours you want to sleep. The blue bed icon doesn't have to be completely empty

If you have your own truck with a 700+ HP engine then sure the delivery will be easy, but for quickjobs urgent deliverys with limited engine power this would be a nice added feuture.

thats not how european laws work, you can only do 11 hours of night rest or devide it in a block of 3 and 9 hours
