But I have to admit I do like to get to the motorways in Europe, those few that do allow you to drive 90 km/h. That said, IRL you should never drive a truck at the limiter, if you get a puncture your only way to gain control will most likely be being able to accelerate before you then break to a stop. Anyone that has driven a motorcycle or ridden a bicycle should get that. Accelerate to gain balance. :)

Driving a Volvo FH750 at its very limits of stability at first was an "OUTRAGE, THIS IS SIMULATOR" but I gradually became addicted to it...
IRL the limiter has been set at 56mph/90kph as this is the most econimical speed for the trucks to be running at, so on motorways you do run at the speed limiter for fuel economy. The limit was raised on single carriageways from 40mph to 50 mph as the government recognised trucks of today are safer( in the hands of professionals i may add lol) yet it is still 40 mph in Scotland only................... Anyone doing more has either tampered with it or going downhill lol. Driving a 44 ton lorry is no joke yet sadly we see clowns behind the wheel of both car and truck.
Well, back to IRL, tell that to every single driver of a speed limited (as required by EU law) truck driving UK motorways! They always, if possible, ride right on the limiter. Hence also the grand art of the "elephant race", where due ot the vaguaries of calibration, one truck is slight faster then the other, so pulls out and takes forever to overtake in the 2nd lane.
I strangely amulsing that vehicles which can legally do 60mph on UK motorways are at the same time speed limited to ~56mph. But I guess there are probably smaller trucks/big vans which are exempt from the speed limiter but still subject to the 60 legal limit...
