joystick as a hanbrake?

does anyone know if i can use a joystick as a handbrake? and could anyone recomend a joystick to get please.

nope i have a steering wheel atm but im giving mine to my brother when i get the g920 and i have the th8a shifter for h-shifter but i need a handbrake. please help.

I have a cheap Joystick I picked up on Ebay recently for use a Handbrake in racing sims, it works fine on ETS2 and ATS. One pull down for on and one down for off. I use it as a button not axis.

Actually if a player doesn't have a wheel, I used to find that a Joystick was the next best controller. Keyboard of course sucks, and gamepads/controllers are okay, but the short throw sticks or buttons are not as smooth as using a joystick. Try it sometime even if you have a wheel, it's fun.
