Scania visibility problem
Scania is probably the most popular truck in the game, because it's beautiful and customizable. But what about the visibility of half of these trucks, even the most expensive Scania S. Look at the screenshots, this is the default position. not even a third of the mirror is visible! This is not in any brand of truck. Yes, I know about the adjustment, but I could not get a good position, then the steering wheel moves away, then the head is near the ceiling ... I also prefer the default position, I do not want to adjust every time.

Why is it so, does Scania have such visibility in reality? The driver will turn his neck. In short, it became a huge disappointment in the game, after saving up for an expensive Scania.

I would suggest, as you do in RL too, turn your head towards mirrors. In RL you would not assume to have all your mirrors visible without turning head thats the problem...

With adjusting mirrors and seating you can easily get good cabin view for Scania S.
One of my most favorite trucks in the game.

And why are 99% of the trucks in the game different? Is it wrong for them, or are there such different trucks in reality?

If you like sitting nose against the glass then you should probably try MAN. ;-)

I have all the trucks, but it's sad that I can't drive scania s for example

You can't drive? Just because you do not want to widen the view angle enough to see the mirrors? :-) I love my Scania S most because its the only one that does not hurt my head with its engine sound....

Turn on both virtual mirrors and forget of physical ones, as I did on it for 100+ levels : /

@Chiquitita

The trucks are build after the original trucks, they wouldnt get approved by the truck company otherwise. SCS visits the company taking thousands of pictures and also record the sound of the trucks. In several cases they also get the CAD files to use to make it accurate.
So the mirrors are correct for that truck as is IRL.

We "desktop computer drivers" have a lightly different environment than the real world drivers in theri IRL trucks. They can easily glance at the mirrors, maybe without even turning the head.

We are limited by our monitors and have to adjust to that. Either by adjusting the seat, head and/or the field of view or use the F2 mirrors.

Personally I mostly adjust to see the left main mirror and the F2 right mirror.

I bought myself TrackIR some years ago and I have never locked back ( Pun intended) I cant drive anymore in any sim without it. Its as big difference as a wheel or not. Also modded the breakpedal so it feels like a real one - same there.

That's true. I love my Scania S because of the sound of the engine inside the cabin. I like the new DAF as well. Renault, for example, it's too loud. I can't stand to drive for more than 30 minutes haha

I set all of my trucks to 80 degrees FoV(New Actros default), and move the seat all the way back; seems to work for everything but the Stralis Hi-Way, which strangely starts at 85 degrees FoV, and with the seat all the way back, still leaving a lot of the left mirror out of view.

I do the same with my Scania, FoV to 80 and the seat all the way back. Good view to the left mirror that way and easy to see traffic entering roundabouts.
